What nail/setup do you use and why?

I'm in the market for a new nail and I can't decide between a HE v3 domed or a quartz domeless so I'm looking for input on that.

Also, I've noticed when I search that there isn't a good collection of different nail and swing setups in any one place. So what nail, swing, etc do you use and why?

I personally enjoy the taste of quartz nails better but I'm currently using a no name ti nail because my quartz domed nail finally broke after 100+ dabs.

I voted TI Domed as what I use. I'm not the biggest domeless fan.

Gonna have to add a ceramic nail option pretty soon ;-)

Sadly those turned out to be defective, or not able to hold the heat after many uses, I don't think they have been released yet, last I heard they are going to be sold at a discounted price.

Wouldn't be too surprised. I haven't spent any time looking into it, was just going to wait and see how the release turns out.

There's a 16 plus pages thread at another website, I'm not sure I'm allowed to say it but the initials are TC.
Just look for HIVE ceramics if you are interested.

Always loved my dome HE Ti2 nail, but now I find I'm just not dabbing on a nail anymore, but rather... dabbing with my Sublimator, vaping dabs on my EO pad with my Herbalizer, or doing dab sandwiches in my Solo. I seem to enjoying the experience more :shrug:

May I ask if you use the Apollo, or the Titanium nail on the sublimator?
Reason I ask is because the apollo is made of Stainless Steel and I want to know if you have noticed a difference between your Ti2 nail and the sub. in regards to flavor, or anything else.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I was using the Apollo........ Between my original nail and my Sub, I prefer the taste with the sub and of course the smoothness of the hit (dry) Base Launcher Tube kit through the whip, and love it best (so far) through the Herbalizer for the tweaking with the temps it allows through the whip ;)

That's exactly what I have been telling people all along, Ti2 is not the only healthy alternative out there, I personally believe SS superior in many ways.

There's not a lot that I don't like, honestly.

But with a domed nail setup, where the dome has a fairly small hole, I just love how effortlessly easy it is to not lose ANY vapor during the dab.

Some domeless aren't too bad,
but with a lot of them I have to draw pretty fast to make sure I'm not losing vapor just wafting away.

With the domed nail setup, I can draw very slowly and still capture everything.
The slow draw means a more stable nail temperature. So that's certainly a plus in my book.
(Although on that last part, using a domeless E-nail pretty much completely negates that issue)

So I'm not seeing much love for quartz, have you guys never used one or consider them to fragile? IMO I've had my best tasting dabs on quartz, while ti tends to be harsher. Does higher quality ti (H.E.) make that much of a different taste compared to a no name ti nail? If so, would a H.E. nail be worth it compared to quartz?

Hi i was wondering where that nail came from? I noticed you can get a chinese one on ebay for like 15 bucks or a "daisy" from dab farm for 50. this might sound like a dumb question because u get what u pay for usually but is it worth shelling out for the "name" brand one?

That is a castle creations nail, I paid $30. I find that the higher quality (more expensive) quartz nails last longer than the lower quality (cheaper) ones do.

Yeah, I like it. It's good quality and is pretty smooth, I am driving around looking for a 10mm HE domeless nail though... I looked at the CC 10mm quartz domeless but I want the strength of a ti nail for 10mm (I'm going to be taking a pendant rig to hempfest).
Also, I'd suggest getting a big shot torch. I've never used a vector but they're the same price as the big shot and the big shot is a bigger flame.

Haha o bought my ti nail from the dank tank store front, been planning on going back for the quartz castle.

Sam's smoke shop in tbe U district should have some 10mm nails. I shop there frequently.

If you want to try my ti nail let me know :p

@RESpecht none of the places I went had any ti 10mm so I'm going to order the 10/14mm HE trinity nail. I'm definitely down for doing some dabs together sometime :cheers:
