It's basically tap water with food coloring. I have 4 2 Liter bottles with red blue green yellow and depending on the glass that's what I add in.
Planning to start adding Citric Acid as soon as I obtain a bag.
Do it. I highly recommended it.
Even using warm distilled water, NACE, & citric acid sour salt, I still get dem vape boogers using my Supreme and FlowerPot. Especially w/ concentrate sandwiches or twaxin. That's the price to pay I suppose for using those high octane vaporizers.
Just curious, are there any benefits of adding citric acid/cranberry juice? Is it to improve the taste, or the effect, or............?
I had a respirology appointment today and my doctor asked about my cannabis use. I mentioned using vaporizers with water pipes.
She suggested I use distilled water in my pipes because tap water usually has some bacteria in it.
Drinking tap water is fine because the stomach acids will kill any of those pathogens but through a water pipe your lungs will not have a defence.
She also mentioned just boiling and cooling the water to avoid any bacteria but that I will probably be using enough it that a big ole jug of distilled water would be easier.
I always thought the choice for distilled was the hard water stains or avoiding the chloride and fluoride or something.
I'm now converting to distilled water!!
Distilled, but lately NO water.
Jeez, sounds like a good reason to change the water at least every 2 or 3 days too, or maybe even refrigerate between uses??
I first thought this was a bit over the top, a bit like a huge fancy mouthpiece. And not really what the glass was designed for.
But I tried it and I can see the attraction!
It has also got me looking at all kinds of complex mouthpieces and coiled vapor tamers in a new light.
I did a survey in another thread - most of us are changing water daily.
Not sure if refrigeration would be useful - cold water will lead to more vapor condensate on the glass and the temperatures may not be sufficient.
Not all tap water will have bacteria but safe to assume if you have old pipes supplying your water the potential for contamination is there. As well as keeping the faucet spout clean (something not enough people do - gross) minimizing risk makes sense.
I have poorly controlled asthma, so introduction of bacteria or irritants is to be avoided. I live in a big city that frequently has to repair cracked pipes (Toronto weather), and I also live in an apartment building built circa 1940 (really old pipes); many factors stacked against my respiratory system. Distilled water seems like an easy way to minimize risk.
Interestingly the doctor did not have an issue with vaporizing cannabis but suggested oils/edibles as well.
Yes I saw the thread. I'm new to water and I used to think changing the water or cleaning daily would be over the top, but when I taste how nice it is with clean I can see why it's desirable, and it looks so much better too.
I would like to do it around every three days because of limited access to expensive iso for cleaning and I'm using de-ionized water to keep the glass clean at €2(us$2.46, ca$3.05) per litre.
Maybe I'll change the water twice as often as I clean the glass.
I was thinking I could be quite safe from bacteria with the de-ionized water although I did consider if the herb matter floating around could bring bacteria.
Maybe not as it should have been well heated, but best to change often indeed! Thanks
Ha thanks man, as far as the Pellegrino goes I own a business we do open houses every week , so my wife had a bunch of cases at the office because nobody drinks it. So I thought I would take a case home and try it out in one of my pieces. There is no fizz though looks like normal water . What I have noticed is 2 things compared to tap water it keeps the glass way cleaner and it also does not "develop" flavors for me after a while of having the same tap water in the glass it would develop a flavor I could taste when I would vape.@disGRUNTled I always admire your set-ups & glass in your photos, I've told you this. But I had no idea you were pouring Pellegrino in that glass, you posh fucker! You're absolutely the coolest! Btw, I would have never known of grind mode without you. What I dig is all the variety of music in the videos you post! Anyway back OT, you obviously notice and prefer something about it or else why, right? So what is it about the P-water that you like? Do the fizzy carbonated bubbles do anything? Please tell us, Professor!
