I just bought the ion a couple weeks ago was wondering if the acessories such as extra bags are going to be available to purchase for much longer?

If you're looking for OEM Zephyr accessories, and if you find them, I'd suggest to get them NOW.

If you are going to cut and past a quote, I think it would be in good form if you include a footnote as to it's origin, otherwise, it's taken out of context and doesn't quite make much sense why it was posted in the first place since we've been stating this for awhile now.

Nope. If that were the case, there are a ton of vapes that should have never seen the light of day like all of those cheap Chinese made knock-offs that are here in MUCH higher quantity than the Ion has ever been. (And that has to be the worst grammatically error ridden sentence that I have ever put up here. This last batch of bud I got is really good.......... )

Man, I haven't been on here in a couple of weeks, but I just noticed the lack of Zephyr website, and posted in the main thread a question about whats going on, now that I read over here all the bad news, I feel terrible for Bruce and any users who feel like this is affecting them. Personally I think it sucks, I have and love my Ion as one of the best vapes I've ever had (and I've had quite a few), and I'm going to miss that warm fuzzy feeling of great customer service I got from Zephyr.

As to why customs raided and seized all merchandise we'll only guess. Did they think it was contraband or illegal? Did Zephyr fail to pay import duties? Did S&B go after them for some kind of infringement on their Volcano idea? Who knows. Its really too bad, especially right around the holidays to have found out.

Well, I guess its time to stock up on consumables before they go out of stock.

Quick question:

I had my Ion replaced, as the original unit i received malfunctioned and had issues with the power cord.

It turns on and turns off randomly, only with adjustment to the power cord, in basic terms.

After receiving my new unit, fate kicked my ass and my replacement zephyr fell to the floor, effectively finishing it's time as my primary vape

Now i am curious on to fixing this semi-functioning, defective Zephyr i have sitting collecting dust.

Is there any way to fix it? If so, how can it be done?

Jeff, I've had my unit apart a couple of times now to fix various issues with the hoses. Bruce gave me the go ahead. ... anyway, if you need some help, I'd be willing to help you out on 1) identifying the problem, 2) proposing a solution and 3) carrying that solution out. I'm sure Bruce might also have some experience with the internals, etc... which is why he's probably thinking of opening up a business of fixing these 'collectors items'. LOL. If we can't solve it, you could try PMing him under his new alias. Not sure if he's charging yet for his services?
On the other hand, if your ION is totally F*'ed, would you consider shipping it my way so I can keep it for spare parts if mine ever dies in the future? I'd compensate you something rather than see it go in the garbage.

I would love your help, to be completely honest. I'll send you a thurough explanation/observation of the problem within the next few days, and i'll try to include a video demonstrating the problem.

I am sure it is fixable, and would love to try and open it up and put a little bit of elbow grease into it

I bought a Ion through the great guys at Extreme vaps

Anyways i have been fighting them to get mine fixed because i gave them like 500 but thats another story.


US CUSTOM RAIDED THEM BECAUSE IDIOTS WERE SENDING DIRTY IONS BACK AND FORTH THROUGH STATE LINES YOU IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such a horrible thing to happen. Even if Zephyr would come back from the dead, it would likely be in its financial interest to come back as another entity and change the name so they do not have to honor the warranties.

Being that they had issues with the software and whip I am pretty comfortable in the view that they were not a rich company and probably was making barely a profit at the point they got shut down.

I do believe it will be very expensive for the company to continue business if it is legally allowed and due to that I do not believe Zephyr as the current company will return. I hope I am wrong but that is my view and my reasons for it.

It will be difficult/near impossible to get a zephyr fixed, repaired, parts from the company or anyone who you bought it from. No warranty technically exist right now in my view. Best of luck would be to find if anyone has repaired their zephyr and maybe get some of their help.

Zephyr would potentially run into serious legal issues by working on zephyrs when forbidden by law, I would not expect much assistance from zephyr in any form at this time.

You know more about what was going on than anybody else here. And don't seem to be denying that this may have been the case. Seems like a lot of shipping costs and shipping time and a lot of time to clear customs both directions to get a minor repair made.

Zephyr most certainly was not sending used units to China for repair, do you have any idea how much that would have raised costs? They were repaired in CA. I don't think the small amount if repairs, (% wise based on sales) or dirty ions was the problem. I hate to speculate why, but I think it is trade relations with China, the devaluation of the Juan, and the general US Customs show of force against this industry.. seen it a million times, sharpstone having similar issues, likewise plenty of other ' accessory' mfgrs., nobody advertises their customs issues.

I am also looking for zephyr ion help. Mine occasionally wouldn't turn on when plugged in, then I'd move it & it'd be fine. Now it doesn't turn on at all. (loose connection? cord problem?) Since the warranty is most likely out of commission, I'd be OK with opening it up & playing around, but not knowing anything seems like a bad place to start with that.

I miss my vape so much, if anyone can help me fix it I'd be terribly thankful!

I have am having this exact problem, just purchased my Zephyr two days ago. I didn't move the machine or do anything differently to it.... it vaporized fine one bowl and then completely stopped shooting hot air the next. My temperature will turn green like it is ready to use but won't stop blinking. I'm pretty freaked out based on everything I've read here today.

So at this point is there no number to call and no address to send to? Is that what I'm gathering? Did my headshop really screw me over that bad?
