It's probably 100% mental, and I'm probably just baked, but I think closing my eyes while using my launch box makes me a better vaporist which makes my session better, and more efficient.

I'm not sure if im focusing more and its better technique, or what. But try it if its not a part of your normal routine.

Thoughts?

Closing my eyes doesn't mean there are no more images coming...

I have a fertile imagination, weed or not sometimes it appears to wander pretty much on its own so i'm not sure it's the best way for me to focus on what's actually going on. A better method in my own case is the water toy, set as a bubbler at the moment. Closing my eye i can concentrate on the sound made by each bubble, that way i've started to re-educate myself with lungs control, which renders the whole experience significantly more satisfying. It's like on TV in a scene with a medical theme where the patient is told to breathe through some apparatus and even when you think he's finished they insist that he goes further a bit and further he goes... Well, the bubbler helps me like anything else i've tried before and now i can hope to address some unwanted spontaneous reflexes acquired while i was a hashish smoker.

i would think if you close your eyes you are devoting more attention to your other senses. you maybe focus on doing a better draw when you close em. :p

I wonder if this technique could be applied to all slow draving vapes. (pd, omicron, mflb etc...)

Hi,

My visual part of "The Ritual", if you will allow me, lies elsewhere: e.g. when i prepare a brand new bag contraption using turkey cooking material acquired at a local grocery store, for use with its versatile black mouthpiece (provided in my HA package), for example... Another is when i "harvest" (it's about nugget removal, more specifically the tool used to do it...) but i can't develop much on that particular topic around here.

Well, as far as i'm concerned, euh... I'd say "The Ritual", as i understand it, is - Euh... NO. I mean WAS entrenched into myself in some way that actually caused me to "feel" part of my yet-to-come smoking experience (it seemed) before it really had occured - in other words, those unusual feelings were most likely induced by mere anticipation, it turns out! I was having a physical reaction caused by a substance which my lungs hadn't even been in contact with just yet: e.g. when i started "preparing" my joint (i'm a former smoker now), my nose felt "blank". Can you believe that?

When drawing through my Natty Goods, I really enjoy leaning back and closing my eyes while focusing on getting the best possible pull.

VaporNation,
I always close my eyes when I hit mine really hard. Idk it does feel like your more into the tape while eyes closed for some reason

so the more and more i use my NO2 the more i feel like it falls under the slow draw category of vaporizers you guys speak of....i seem to get the best hits and results from taking slow long pulls sucking the vapors out of the tube instead of pulling on it like its a bowl or hookah or something.

yes i can, ive had visual "disturbances" (i'll call it that for now) getting ready to light the first bowl of the night that normally only happen an hour past the first draw. the brain is amazing.

edit: part of my normal ritual is to be closed eyes for a while and after alternate between open and closed. its nice sometimes to remove the forced stimulus of sight via the eyes and let the eye in your mind wander.

crawdad,
Open or closed eyes, either way one should be mindful. This means focusing on your actions, the intension(s) behind them as well as their impact(s) on others and yourself. So yes, by focusing on the task at hand and cutting off any other disturbances will enhance your experience.

I think almost everyone experiences this: by varying my routine from the norm, I notice I get 'higher' (or at least have a more satisfying high). Closing your eyes when you normally keep 'em open qualifies.

Good idea, I'll try it next time.
