Weed, Juice and Newbie Questions

Hope I am putting this in the right place, if not, someone please tell me where it should go.

I am really new to vaping and I never really was a smoker, so I am trying to sort my way through this all. I know I have basic newbie questions and I tried searching but couldn't find what I was looking for. I am a Medical Marijuana User but don't have my card in this state so I'm kind of on my own.

Are there certain types of vaporizers that won't work or shouldn't be used for weed (oil or shatter) but only for the flavored or nicotine juice and vice versa?
Can you go back and forth between the flavored juice and marijuana oil in the same vape? If so, do you have to clean in between or something? Change the coils or use different atomizers or how does that work?

Thanks in advance, if someone can answer my questions.

Welcome fellow Oregonian . . .

Most vapes are for flower or e-juice exclusively, with some exceptions, for instance you can't vape flower in an e-cig no matter what the people in China tell you, not without an herb cartridge of some kind. Shatter and oils can be vaped with herb vapes with the right technique, usually a little flower or de-gummed hemp fiber or a liquid pad are used to hold the concentrate. I mean if you want to put e-liquid on some flower I guess it would work but most people keep the two separate.

As far as vapes that shouldn't be used, well that can be up to the user. Some of us do not like our air paths adulterated with plastics or electronics. China makes a lot of sketchy products that contain things like glue or plastic in the air path, or materials not suited for temps we use, and have you inhaling through the electronics bay.

If you to make a cannabis e-liquid to use in an e-cig you will want to mix your concentrate with something like Wax Liquidizer. This is a mixture of PEG 200, 400, and 600 which keeps the ingredients from separating. Their instructions are pretty straight forward. Changing coils or cleaning will be up to the user.

Okay, at the dispensary I use I can get LBO, RSO, Shatter, and cartridges. I have a FlowerMate V50.S, which will do dry herb and oil, but I've never tried oil in it, and an Ijoy Asolo with a Uwell Crown Tank on the way to me. I guess what I'm wondering is 1) can I use any of those things I listed in either of these vaporizers, 2) if I do, can I go back and forth between medicated product and just flavored vape with no issues?

I am sort of at a loss, because I'm not even sure I am asking the right questions or saying it the right way?

Thanks for the reply.

ETA: Also, I see from further investigation that the "cartridges" are pre-filled atomizers? Hope I am using the correct terminology. So I guess if that is the case, then the threading is the only issue?

Man I am feeling really dumb here. Probably just go back to a pipe. So confused.

OK, I do not have a Flowermate and am not familiar with the product. Maybe someone in the Flowermate thread can help (see link below). It appears to come with a Wax Tank included according to Puffitup so I would try that first. It looks like it does Wax and shatter however with looser concentrates it might leak, I just don't know. To use a traditional e-cig you will need to make a stable cannabis e-juice or the materials will separate and gum up your coils with the heavier elements.

I am a bit out of my element here as I am not a full time e-cig user and I don't have the vapes you are talking about. Hopefully someone more familiar with your equipment will see this thread and chime in, hopefully someone who has experience with the Wax Tank. Sometimes the all in one solutions can have trade offs.

According to Puffitup it comes with both tanks, however, the chart shows it not coming with the unit. Might be worth a call to Randy.

Includes one Dry tank and one Wax tank to make the FlowerMate V5.0S even more convenient and portable.

Dry Tank:
You do not need the dry tank to vaporize your blends, however, if you are on the go this is a great option. The dry tanks are air vented on the sides and bottom. Perfect for quick loading your vaporizer.
Wax Tank: The new Wax Tank is filled with organic cotton wick. Organic Cotton is perfect for solid and liquid materials.

The one I have does have two tanks. I've only used it for dry material and it's okay for that. Maybe I will just stick with that. I will take it with me next time I go to buy and see if the dispensary can help me out. I will go check out the FlowerMate thread.
Thanks a lot, that last reply told me a lot of what I wanted to know.
