They manage to hit every trope in the book. It's more powerful today. Think of the kids. Gateway to hard drugs. Yadda yadda.
Not only that but few damaging side effects (other than getting high, of course) and IMPOSSIBLE TO OVERDOSE!!! People often miss this point as just about anything else can really hurt you if you take too much. Can you imagine being a doctor who comes across diseases that can't be cured or curtailed but then, you come across something that looks to have real promise in treating those diseases only to have the government standing in your way of doing further research in that potential promise and then you see the patients that you could have helped but can't because both you're hands are tied behind your back.
Was that the same guy that was worried about stoned rabbits in Utah? I remember some testimony in their legislature to that effect. I was like, ok, how are they getting stoned off of raw cannabis? How are the rabbits decarbing their weed? Do they have little rabbit pipes or joints or something? Its so ridiculous. Bill O'Fuckface just hit a new low with a hit piece on a cannabis radio station in CO. He was like where is KDRUNK then? He even called cannabis an intoxicant, which it isn't. Your body has an endocannabinoid system NOT an endo-ethanol system. Cannabis is not toxic therefor not an in-toxic-ant . . .My favorite line is when the doctor said that marijuana makes animals forget where there food is.
Too much viewing of Fox News is bad for your health and causes hair to grow on your palms or something.
All they pedal is fear, fear, fear. Its like that old John Carpenter movie "They Live" with the subliminal messages on everything like "Consume" or "Obey" or on the money it said "This is Your God". Every time I turn on Fox all I can see is a blinking light that says "F-E-A-R" in the background. Its propaganda pure and simple, but they all are. Sean Hannity is washed up.Too much viewing of Fox News is bad for your health and causes hair to grow on your palms or something.
Sean Hannity is washed up.
I mean the last time I watched his show he was unorganized, confused, suffers from confirmation bias, and looked like he was pretty much on his way out. I know he was considering leaving FOX and going to Texas like Beck did but he didn't have the guts. IMHO he is irrelevant and offers nothing to the discussion. You may be right about his ratings, I find it hard to believe, but I do not check ratings.Maybe you meant, washed up in a different context, eh?

I have seen him with that deer in the headlights look. He does look a little out of it at times. But that could well be calculated for sympathy, something he deserves none of.I mean the last time I watched his show he was unorganized, confused, suffers from confirmation bias, and looked like he was pretty much on his way out.
He is one of the guys who scares me most because he has a very loyal following
Beck is a completely different animal than Sean. At least he changes and has turning points. In fact, his dry drunk style drives me nuts. Beck at least is fed up with the GOP and has said he is out. Now I know he has said this before but he at least put it into context this time. Hannity makes me want to puke involuntarily because there is no substance there. Beck has a more "subdued' effect on me. He absolutely called the Caliphate years before it happened and has been helpful researching many issues. He changed quite a bit after he left Fox. If he wasn't a dry alcoholic, maybe, but it drives everything he does and is why he is so fragmented in his approach.Like Glen Beck...
