Water Pipe Attachment

So i have an EQ and a transformer tube which is my first bong.

If the whip just fits right into the downstem is that cool?
or do i need and adapter still? it hits great but i want to make sure im getting the best from it.

If it seals, your good. you could get a wpa (water pipe adapter) to fit in there. Up to you!

14mm downstem correct?
