Watch out: Chinese Mighty Counterfeit!

Apparently somebody in china has released a counterfeit of the mighty.
Here is a original next to the counterfeit. they sell for 130-150$.
Also the pax2 counterfeits are reality!

i got scammed on ebay.. bought one for $300 and ebay sided with the seller deciding not to refund my money.. ugh so i basically paid $700 for my mighty..
i contacted S&B when the fake vape wasn't working and they said they feared i had gotten a fake. They sent me a document comparing the fake and real in photos.. i can post that or make my own now that i have both.. oh well, with how much i was consuming, switching to exclusively vaping will save me money in the near future..

btw. i think the counterfeit section is a little bit missplaced here on the board. the topic is too important for the little audience it gets here.
i remember my thread about the first pax counterfeits had hundrets of pages and this one has barely 400 views since I have created it. People need to be aware of this! I don't know how many people already got scammed as well and don't know it yet.

It's so hard when I hear these stories of folks getting ripped off. We work hard for our money then some scam steals from you. It's always buyer beware. We try to save some money and end up paying more in the long run.

Sorry for your troubles and thank you for reminding us to stay vigilant and to keep on our toes when it come to buying vaporizers. Be careful of fake Grasshopper's too. I haven't heard of any but I would imagine they are in the works.

Are the fakes easy to spot?
I got my Crafty for a SUPER deal...glad it was legit! (I was worried)

One thing I have learned on here, stick to reputable vendors/retailers and don't go for a guy with no reputation just to save a few bucks. The Best retailers mentioned on this site stand behind their products, support customers, replace items under warranty, and often even replace items that are not covered under warranty at their own cost to appease an upset customer.

It sucks when customers get shammed, get your next "portable" from Epic (you can plug it in anywhere there is an outlet)... the lotus is also a beast and I can tell you their support is the tits!

I have taken snapshots for you to see if yours is fake or real.

I think any time someone complains about a poorly functioning or failing mighty they should check this post first to ensure it is legit first.

look pretty similar - i was completely fooled having never used a mighty until i got my real one
i knew the quality of the vapor and effect to expect from reading on this forum and from previous experience with other s&b products, so i was very dubious when my fraudulent mighty was not emitting any visible vapor. i did get a slight high from it (hope that was all herb and no dangerous plastics! yikes!)
the abv from the fake comes out looking like it would from the real mighty but slightly less dark - so it seems that the fake does vape - just no where near s&b quality.

i learned my lesson. i thought i would be fine using ebay because it was how i got my volcano at a discount 4 years ago and i didn't know there were fakes. oh well - i know that in the end the real mighty will still save me money

These have been out for months..people sell them in bulk on alilibaba.
It's a shame, foriegn companies and mfgs get a copy of blue prints and schematics and make clones.Its very common with mechmods and boxmods.

I know this was quite a while ago and nothing can be done, but if you had an email from S&B and those pics proving that it's fake, not only should you have gotten your money back but you should have been able to keep the counterfeit item too, according to eBay's own money-back guarantee FAQ:

Also I've NEVER seen eBay side with a seller over a buyer, even when the buyer was in the wrong...either your communication skills are lacking or you got EXTREMELY unlucky a.k.a. fucked.

I handled the situation pretty well and I thought I was clear. I followed their instructions. I sent the pics that s&b sent me. Embay decided to side with the seller and would not communicate with me further about it. I pretty much gave up, but I am still pissed and really want that money back. Maybe I'll try again. Not really sure how to go about it now..

You can tell the plastic looks off as well no doubt it would off-gas some cheap nasty fumes over time... Sigh China do this on a large scale they hack your company for the schematics or reverse engineer everything they can possibly find. I would honestly not want to live there imagine getting an authentic Mighty on the street? Chances 0% lol...


The same does go for Ebay, People Ebay is filled with scammers if you want to buy one go to S&B direct in Germany or Oakland and pay the asking.

man I must say this f anything chinese mighty related their plastic suck balls brittle and when cracks there are small black pieces that gets easily into airflow. By general usage whole set lasted me two days, what a scam. Definitely not anything near peak plastics and not safe for health
It made me think deeply about how much dangerous stuff from china actually ends up in costumers hands via post
