Would this be suitable to use with rosin? Or would the contaminants muck it up?

I am using it with rosin. I’ll let you know how it goes for me but I figure it will be a lot like a 510 coil. Once mine gets to nasty to clean generally I just replace them.

Thanks! I've been on the hunt for a decent pen for rosin, and after chatting with PlanetVape, they highly suggested the dabox! Sweet price too. Must be better than yocan products? Which PV said were the worst.

Yo can aren’t bad pens..not great but pretty good..this Dabox is a really good vape that hits hard..and they also have a water filtration piece I ordered..hopefully it’s decent..the water piece that is..

It’s pretty easy to accidentally take to big a hit and end up coughing your ass off. It really is powerful.

The DAbOX is awesome. But you do need to feather the temp control.

Keep the coils from getting too hot and it's super smooth. Overshot the temp a bit and it's a lung ripper

Ok i was in love with this thing but i bought new coils..clapton and dual quartz..and supposed to gwt better flavor with clapton..well the claptons are way too harsh and the quartz are supposed to give bigger hits but seems hits are bigger on the clapton and tastier on the quartz?? Im little confused but i used to justhave 1 clapton and it hit like a monster and now im getting auper inconsistent results.i dunmo but seems weird..maybe my unit not function righr? My light quit working..

You need to adjust the technique for each coil.

I've heard from a few people they prefer quartz over clapton.

I don't know which I prefer. Both can be tasty at the right temp

@Vivant well, after taking the Clapton dual coil out of the wrapper and putting it into the Dabox I've fallen in love with the DaBox. It was not working for me with the .5ohm coil-just too hot.

I'm all in-just placed an accessory order for a bunch of the silicone screens to make life a bit easier, got 4-packs of both Clapton coils-single and double, and I got the water filtration because I've become like @Sneaky Pete and use water for almost everything while at home-especially during allergy season.

I used the water piece alot but it clogs pretty quick..but so does those silicon screens..be careful wirh changing out the mp because if you lose one of those super tiny orings..thin orings...they cant be replaced..they dont sell them..but i do prefer the clapton coil but my unit seems to not alwayd be consistent and i tried to contact @Vivant and was basically told oh well that my issue wasnt an issue..just be careful because mine had issues and they didnt wanna help out.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty easy on my 'things', but will be more so now.

So my order with the water adapter, screens, and coils is "out for delivery". Can't wait to try this out.

I've found that the Dual Coil Clapton doesn't clog the screens nearly as much as the Dual Coil Quartz-I don't do a good job controlling that.

I get some oil next week, so I'm going to try the Single Coil Clapton with that. I'll report back after I've had a chance to try it out.

EDIT: It has arrived. @Vivant Kudos. The water adapter is the BOMB. I'm using it anhydrously now, and probably will. It does a fabulous job cooling without water, and it retains all the flavor. And it's safer given my clumsy nature, the cats, and the environment I vape in.

I've long loved the affects of concentrates, but haven't had great experiences with the delivery systems I've tried. A dab rig just isn't in my present or future. And I've tried 'modifying' my flower vapes with strips, hemp fiber, and liquid pads; and they all fail for different reasons.

But the DaBox with the water adapter is changing that. The increased size is easier in my hand, and the adapter really cools the vapor nicely and makes for a really nice session. And I dig the new screens too. MUCH better than the old ones, which I'm tossing.

Well...this thread is moving like a snail. About the same pace that I'm going through my concentrates.

But if anyone cares...I have been enjoying my Dabox with some of the new stuff I got last month. The water adapter isn't a fail, but it's not a huge success for me either.

I don't like the noise with or without water, it's not easy to keep clean, and I've yet to find a way to put water in it and not slurp most of it up when I draw through it.

@Vivant The new silicone screens on the other hand are genius and totally change the experience for me. I like both the single and double coil claptons too. I've had great success with shatter, cannabis oil, and CBD distillate. And the battery life is really quite good with the claptons. I've only charged it once since my last post on the 21st.

Right now the Dabox is checking all my boxes for concentrates.

I love this thing, but my light only works when it wants to and the button sticks sometimes so it will just keep going, so I gotta pay attention whenever it's not locked. @Vivant could really have a winner if they added some minor tweaks.

I have both and for some reason the dabox isn’t temperamental for me..I have used both types of coils and there is a difference but not sure what it is..lol..at first I loved it but it sits unused on my shelf..I, digging the sequoia which is the bigger sai but I need to download a better firmware to get a more accurate temp control.id go with the sai.


FWIW I tried to talk to @Vivant by email about my dabox possibly having an issue because at first it rocked at then it got worse like it was losing power but they didn’t wanna hear any of that. Basically in so many words that it was solid product and never hear of my issues..so I gave up
