I have seriously considered making my own version. That hardest part would be sourcing the glass. But if the body was a different material.......

Since this vape is dead I thought I'd post a DIY alternative.

It is not that hard to slap a bunch of glass together and vape out of it. Some lab glass, a heater, and a dimmer will do it. (Well it did it for me anyways.) If you want to go to level 2 add a pid controller. My design has no wires exposed to the airpath and the parts are dry fitted for cleaning/ez repairs. The airpath is also larger using 24mm glass and 24/40 joints.

I have a list of parts in the diy section if you are looking for ideas for an all glass vape.

Good luck.

Sir you are speaking my language. I really am not familiar with different heating sources. However, I love when I surprise myself and am able to accomplish diy projects. And my girlfriend will soon be leaving for a year, so this is right up my alley. I will be looking up your thread!

The @DDave-style basket mod for the infinity has been vetted :science:

I approve, it's a whole new level of efficiency

It's a basket screen mod, like for ssv/dbv. If your bubbler has a male 18mm male downstem, then you won't need the m/m adapter. The f/f adapter for the versa's 18mm male heating protuberance.

Does anyone know roughly the output of the heater in the versa? Volts X watts?

My Versa heater crumbled and has been out of action for a while.

Cheers

So maybe a 50 or 60w 110V heater would work out.

Replacement hollow style heaters are not so common out there

One thing I noticed while servicing the versa.the original heater is sand or mineral filled.I had a chip on the top of my heater from way back.I tried to grind it flat and sand or mineral leaked out from inside the heater.

the heater may still work,I guess I could try it.I also have some big 12V resistor heaters knocking around I could try or an SSV heater.
