Discontinued Versa Infinity - The Glass Vaporizer

Well I decided not to waste all that anticipation and excitement. Don't try this at home! I took the inner heat wand from the body and I am using just that, this is an awesome way to burn yourself since there is no protection from the main body. I ground up a couple grams and I am off to the races. I packed a couple small bowl to cover the screen, nice one to two big rips each pack. I am now finishing the second of two very large bowl, .5g each, lots of milky hits. I am ripped and happy, time to power it down before I hurt myself.

If I don't pull the heating element all the way out of the bowl it will create turbulence and herb goes flying, solved by pulling the Versa up another inch.

I will maybe get brave and give the hookah a go later.

Edit: I lied, I wasn't done. My concentrate bowl should be here with the replacement Versa but if I am not going to let a broken heat shield slow me down why would I let the lack of a concentrate bowl slow me down. I dropped a ceramic DBV disk down in the flower bowl with a .1 dab on it and cranked the unit up, holy shit, that dab milked and milked and milked. The first two or three pulls where very tasty, the next 6-8 solid hits where not tasty but also not unpleasant either. I don't take in the tail end of a nail dab but this was doable. I am beyond ripped atm.

I just got my unit. I have it heating up now. I am disappointed I did not get a concentrate bowl and I also expected the flower bowl to have a frit not a metal screen. I have not used it yet but as it sits on my desk and help to thinks a more attractive all glass EQ which is not bad for the price point. I really like the form factor of this thing .Will report back with results when I have. Hopefully videos too.

Yeah, i thought there were going to be fritted bowls. I was prepared to buy one regardless of getting a Versa.

here's hoping I get mine intact. All the reviews so far seem pretty much in the positive zone, not sure about @Zangano Cruel , I only understood < half of his post

And I keep reading frits aren't good for vapor, but that's mostly in reference to tubes and not bowls. But this is the type of feedback that may create changes down the line if Versa survives this phase of business.

Really? I heard the fritts were very good at maximizing flavour, better than most at equal levels of diffusion.

Way back somewhere in the Pinnacle Pro thread when TRVB announced his Simba Fritted WT, there was discussion that frits in WTs get clogged easily when vapor goes through them. Leiana mentioned way back in this thread regarding their fritted test HT topper seemed to reduce the vapor it allowed through. And there's one other reference that I can't remember right now.

So herb wise with just covering the screen on 85 volts it took 3 hits. Boost works for sure.
My next hit was a dab on max I used the same method I use on my EVO. I smoosh my dab between two small screens and place it in a mini ELB ( EQ cap with ELB cover as seen in picture)

It was better than my EVO. Very small dab, with boost, I got 2 huge hits however the taste did not even come close to the EVO. I need to experiment with lower wattage

The reason I got this was for concentrates so this may just become my dedicated nail. I just wish I had the concentrate accessory though my DIY works well. Heres a pic (also in the pic you see I use my cloudbuddy on the mobius and a keck clip on the bowl- no touching the bowl=no burns):

I'm not a very experienced concentrate user (have only done my own sublimate through my UFO) - so question for you, do you think using the Cloud Buddy you're showing will yield much reclaim from the Infinity? Only time will tell probably...

Not like the Sub. I own a sub and when it worked I was astounded by the amount of sublimate it produced. That was why I loved the sub. The EVO does not make the same stuff the sub does nor in the same quantities... but you can dab what it makes and it is tasty and does the job... but definetly different from sublimate. I have attempted many times to duplicate what the sub does in many experiments but to no avail. I could go on and on... but I think what the versa will do is more comparable to what the EVO will do.

O and yah thats what I was kinda trying to replicate and it worked amazingly

I should be getting mine with the replacement Versa.

It is the concentrate bowl that has the glass screen, is that what is meant by fritted?

I did a second dab with oil on the ceramic disk and the flower bowl, just a small .05 dab, boosting really milks the hit, it was tasty for the first two hits then the last wispy hit tasted like ceramic from the disk. Looking forward to the concentrate bowl with glass screen.

I have the oil bowl.
Consists of 2 parts...
A 18 male stem ending in a coarse frit.
IMO place this part first in your WT...
Dab the frit...
Place an o-ring at the neck of the frit...
Slide the 2nd part...
2nd part is a 18 female stem...
When you slide the 18 female, the open stem will sit flush to your WT.
IMO this was the way I can get the heater closer to the dab...
Do the boost...
Provided o-rings to seal airpath looks like generic hardware store. Oil bowl gets insanely hot.
I'll change them for high temp food grade silicon if possible.
Keep testing...
I think hashes and waxes will do better than oils and shatter....

For flowers, it is a big clunky log vape that gets extremely burn hot to handle, can easily break...
And creates a inner circle browning of herbs...
Without the boost the HI and E-Nano do the job, with the boost the Infinity darkens the middle of the herb while outside ring is greener...
Wider Infinity bowl creates this.
Too much heat to handle without insulation have it's risks...
IMO if you are going for a first vape, all in one, no dabs of course... get a Solo.
Personal desktop/portable ever IMO.
This vape is for testing and people that own other vapes.

I have made more progress! I shove an ELB up the male end of the flower bowl. Now! I use that as a screen if the versa is upside down the herb would sit on the bottom of the ELB inside the neck of the flower bowl or if I wanna use an HT I leave versa on stand put bowl on top, cap with ELB cover and put my HT on. Just tried with a dab, not flower, but I will test with flower tonight

I've been told by versa that I may have a 10 day wait for USPS. Wtf?? Whether the unit rocks or not my patience with this company is wearing very thin. Frankly I can't see them staying in business considering the way they have been operating thus far.

That is likely related to the fact that you are located in "not north america" and probably has nothing to do with versa. I don't even have one coming anymore, but that isn't something you can blame them for. If everyone else is getting them in the USA, then it is probably because you are out of the country and a delay because of shitty postal systems. Not much anyone can do about that. I've ordered car parts from japan that took 7 months to show up before. It sucks!
