On the Verdampfer site, they refer Us customers to VapeWorld;

We've detected you’re visiting us from the USA. We recommend shopping at our domestic US partner VapeWorld.com for faster shipping times!

However, I went there and don't see de Verdampfer....
I used one in Amsterdam and loved it BUT please read more about it and other vapes before jumping right in.
It is kind of cumbersome to use, looks like a big science experiment, takes about 15 minutes to warm up, has a big hot hot exposed heater you need to be careful of when you are high-- but does have nice flavor and extraction.

I loved it in Amsterdam but at home the negatives would be more of an issue for me.
Just make sure you check out other options for their strong/weak points.

Not sure which site you're referring too, the Verdampersite does not have an American flagicon, only an English one(to switch the language to English) and has no problems shipping to the US.

I did gather in the past US customs seem to have considered this glassware as sort of footballs, but that looks like a thing of the past thankfully.

As to price, all i can say is you really get the quality you pay for.;)

De Verdamper,
I'd just shut up and do it Hans...:p
They are a strict bunch here, which is probably why i like it so much.
@stickstones
Please don't mistake this shop for the average purely commercial enterprise, these folks are truly mad scientists...

WTF!!!??? I can't even figure out what's going on. I'm just assuming he's trying to get buzzed! I can think of less cumbersome probably just as efficient ways. Lord forbid that you try to convince someone to FuckCombustion with that setup!

@Cannabis Connoisseur, this photo is probably taken somewhere around 20 years ago, judging by the paintstripper Evert is operating on top of the bong stucture.

It's the first Verdamper he was selling, and it worked with an adjustable temperature controlled paintstripper that was placed on top of a glass bowl that was connected to a WT, a square piece of glass.

it looks, like @Havelock Vetenari said, like a fun installation of the mad scientist indeed. A true pioneer imo.

I think it was indeed about 2 decades ago, if i remember it well this was taken at the univerity of Utrecht in the very first Verdamper trials.

To be absolutely correct, that would be just the paintstripper part, coupled with a somewhat smaller vessel. ;)

Yeah, that's what i meant, the square glass piece ;)

I bought one of them in '97 or '98 i think, but at the time i've mistaken the vapor for smoke...
So i turned the paintstripper temp down to where there was no visible vapor left, and got really disappointed by the lack of effect and i retired the whole thing thinking that vaporising was just a joke.
A friend borrowed the paintstripper to, well, strip paint, and after that i tried to operate the Verdamper with it another time but it was just tasting and smelling of disgusting paint fumes and that was it, moved it to the attic.
Last year, i looked it up again, (when knowledge of vaping cought up with me) but something had fallen on top of it and it was broken :(

a bit worried about the nichrome heating wire cuz its not capsulated in glas.
really worried

i mean evert surely did not have his device lab tested.
it still looks and feels like a prototype.

Mr.Sifter,
Surely?
I am pretty sure Evert would recommend you buying another one.;)
I personally also feel it's not for you it seems and perhaps you need to move on to other things, plenty of vaporisers out there these days...

Dont get me wrong.
I like how you can pull the safety valve and take a bonglike hit eventough i rarely use rnough material to create huge milky clouds.

Why are you guys not concerned about the heating element?

Why would evert recommend me to get another vape?
Becuz i cant appreciate it?

I'm in US, can't speak for Evert, but have used the VD in Amsterdam.
He might recommend something else because:
-- I think you wanted a vape that had higher temp capability?
From Verdamper site: temp is 200 C or 392 F. With capping the intake, another 10 F ??
FYI, your CBD question--it boils at 356 F so VD would be well above that.
-- you had concerns about the heating element/wire/safety
-- you just seemed to have issues or concerns with it---so another vape might be better for you.

I loved it in the coffeeshops ---great flavor and extraction.
For home use it was lower on my list because-- hot glass to deal with when high, need to careful around tall glass, a little cumbersome to use at home (vs say my Herbalizer where the whole session for 2 hits takes one minute), I like more temp adjust ability for higher and lower temps.

A great vape that I'd consider for my 5th or 6th vape.

If you need a verdamper the roor/herborizer version is bascially the same thing perfected. I have as of yet to break anything baked and it was my first vape. BUT for fat clouds you really need to be at 210-230c with one of these and a full bowl.

Just putting in a pinch on lower temp doesnt do it, But luxury with a big full bowl that lasts ages and ages and umm ages.

JMO, but your not going to find anything mass produced as good as one of these. This is hand made, quality old world craftsmanship through and through. I fully expect to hand it down to my children some day.

Smoking/vaping to me is a sacrament (i.e., not something I do everyday). So owning the Verdamper is just that much more appealing to me. It reminds me of a middle eastern style hookah updated for the modern age.

The glass is think and all components, fit and finish ooze with quality. It is very efficient, but does use a bit more than smoking, obviously. I can pull the cleanest hits, or thicker if I want by placing my hand over the top.

The only other vape I've ever used was a volcano, and I wasn't very impressed with the style or harshness of it's vapor.

Not too worried about the heating element personally.

You're just not going to get away with inhaling anything other than atmospheric air into your lungs without some degree of risk. It's safer than smoking imho.

There is nothing like it, Verdamper,Herborizer,RooR are three unique versions of the same concept that just flat out works. But i will swear the high temp version of the RooR is the king of them all.

Verdamper is the rustic version, Herborizer is the value and the RooR is a peice of art. If you drop in a screen or what i would favour is a custom order with a half height bowl and drop in thier 29mm gauze. It fits snug, It works and it tastes amazing being all glass.

Herbie wont do the bowl tho, RooR might its on my to do list but at the minute i simply never push the gauze down past the fins.

Well the verdamper surely is a quality piece of work, no doubt.

But why has it not been tested like the cano has?

People have been smoking since thousends of years but inhaling air heated by nichrome wire is rather new.
Who knows what the long term effects will be.

I do like it and i think i could handle the huge all glass monster in my living room but i am really worried bout the wire.

I got a small deluxe verdamper for about 100$ used and got the downtube modified as a diffussor tube.
