Venty or Tinymight 2

Looking for feedback from users that have both of these. Plan to purchase one of them and can’t decide.

Looking for cool vapor for sensitive lungs and able to get medicated in 15 mins or less.

Has to be portable and battery operated. Have a solo 2 max now and that doesn’t get me where I need to be in the 15 mins or less.

The reason I’m having trouble deciding is worried the Tinymight will be to harsh with the standard ball stem and the Venty will be to slow and take longer than 15 mins.

Also the TM2 costs less and as said the VENTY is prone to E04 errors and buttons falling off.

The TM2 will get you to where you want to be a lot faster than the Solo 2.

The TM2 can be harsh but with the right cooling stem and water adaptor it will be fine.

Don't know, I use on high temps (most of time 8 and few times on 10, when I wanna get blasted) and the AVB are always brown/dark brown. First 2 hits are full of flavor, the next 1 or 2 are ok and the last 1 or 2 are bitter. At least for me 👍🏻 With Venty all the hits are similar and the flavor is...

I'm seeing two characterization of the vapor quality on the Tiny Mite 2 that seem at odds to me. One is that the TM2 produces some of the most delicious convention style vapor of any portable on the market and the other is a knock for potential "harshness."

Is the latter de-merit due to people overcranking the heat to the point it loses its great taste profile, or is there something else at play here?

I'm confused about the seeming contradictions over the vape quality.

Appreciate any thoughts.

As you have used a Solo before, I will suggest adding a Solo 3 to the mix. It is a whole new beast with an oven that much stronger than previous Solos. I can't speak to the TM2 (which, yes, is what you asked), but both the Venty and Solo can crank out the clouds. Done in less than 15m is not a problem.

Vapor quality is a subjective term that honestly doesn't mean anything because it means something different to everyone. The tinymight has exceptional vapor. Great flavor and effects. "Harshness" claims can vary due to user style, temp settings, stem type, etc. With the TM2, if I use stock stem/cooling unit at high temperature, I can cough quite a bit. But a slower draw speed, lower temps, and using a beaded stem (or even better, a WPA with J hook or through dry glass) it can be hard to tell how much I've taken in. Taste is great too. It may take some time to "dial things in", but gathering input from this community should accelerate the process.

Note: The flower type, condition and grind can impact things significantly too. Also, I own an older TM2 and can't comment on any design changes since.

Yeah, the Tinymight is quite a versatile beast that's why you can read both sides of the spectrum.

It has a really powerfull, big surfaced heater paired with a very precise temperature dial which makes it very reactive and very capable both on low and on high teperatures.
Pair that with an very clean vaporpath/vaporprofile and you have a vape that can be unbelievably tasty when starting on "0" and working your way up but also shines in ripping thru a bowl in no time if that's what you are in the mood for.

It can be a monster but that's all up to the user.
For me the answer to this thread's question is very clear...
Just look at both devices... I mean, come on...

Or read a couple of pages in the error-riddled Venty thread if you still need a reason not to buy one

It hits really hard like harder than all the other battery powered vapes and tastes harsh and hot when you put the temperature dial up and even when the temperature dial is set lower it still feels hot but not as harsh.

What most people do is add a long cooling stem or water adaptor and use it threw a bong and this stops a lot of the hotness and harshness but it still hits hard.

I use this stem and it cools the vapour nicely but is still somewhat harsh when compared to other vapes like the solo 3. This harshness is something that people like as it reminds them of combustion without actually having to combust.

The vapour profile from the TM2 is just different and feels harder/harsher than other battery powered vapes but as said it is nice when used with the right stem/bong.

This has muddied the waters of my mind a little as hotness and harshness are not qualities I desire, where flavor and nice vapor are.

I wish I had an opportunity to try one. Having a good cooling stem or adapter seems like it might key for my enjoyment (or not). I add the "not" as I'm not sensitive to the "heat" that comes with smoke (nor am I seeking to replicate combustion), but I think I'd still prefer cooler terpy hits to hot ones.

I own a tm1 not tm2, but I followed closely the tm2 thread for some time and reports from people I trust were that both the TMs work better on small loads otherwise you’ll need to stir. Bigger loads (I’d say the limit is 0.2g) are doable on the Venty and you can be done in one minute if you want. On the Tm2 if your only expectation is being done under 15 minutes you’ll be fine, but you will have to unmount the stem and stir your load at least once. The Venty has an airflow that is unmatched. If you are capable of monster hits you can obliterate a full load in 2/3 hits at full temp. You can also set the airflow down if you like to take your time or shut it down completely so it doesn’t reek weed when not in use.
I also heard that the Solo 3 is really good and perhaps on the same league of the tm2 if not better.
I’d also consider that on the Venty you’ll never get burnt taste and combustion is out of the question. My unit works fine and if I’ll need to return it I’m on a 3 years warranty. Never had any tickle from it. One guy who complained about buttons falling likes half an hour long sessions, multiple times a day. I’m usually done after a couple of minutes. E04 was a problem before their first major firmware update, months ago. The only thing I would do is checking if S&B does free returns in your area (basically anywhere in EU/UK, USA or Canada).

Flavor can be harsh, terps can tickle the throat, there are too many variables and the TM is exceedingly versatile depending how you use it exactly (anything can be harsh)
