...Currently, that means the company behind the device must at least have a website which provides a detailed explanation of why their product is unique, and, safe to use as a cannabis/cannabis concentrate vaporizer....
Well, manufacturers that want to sell their product everywhere don't admit their product is for cannabis use.
Not sure if this post should go here or elsewhere, feel free to move it into a new thread somewhere.

Blackout X
The Blackout X is promoted as "
the industry's first and only refillable, disposable vaporizer", for oil or wax. A PR announcement is at:
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...efillable-disposable-vaporizer-266572211.html
It came to particular prominence after being promoted on the "Getting Doug with High" show.
According to the company's website at
http://blackoutx.com the Blackout X battery will last about 250 hits, and each refill will last about 20 hits.
I bought a 3-pack and started using one with some oil. Too soon to do much of a review, but first impressions are:
Pro:
1. Great to never clean, or have to change/recharge the battery (when battery dies, throw it away). Twenty hits before a refill sounds excellent.
2. Nice low cost, 1 for $15 or 3 for $30.
3. Extremely lightweight, less than .5 oz!
You don't even have to turn it on and off. To turn on, just inhale (the green light at the tip glows when inhaling); to turn off, stop inhaling. Jeez, can't get simpler than that.
Con:
1. The site says that although it "features a double-deck liquid-retaining structure also to avoid leakage", yet "It is also important to leave the device vertical after smoking", implying that the device should usually be vertical or it just might leak. That's fine if you are carrying it in the pocket of your shirt, vest or jacket (a soft eyeglasses case could make a handy carrier). But does that mean you shouldn't carry it in cargo pants' side pockets, because if you sit down it might leak? Do you dare to lay it flat on a table for a few minutes? I didn't leak-test it, not wanting to risk it. And how are women supposed to carry it, if it can't safely lay sideways inside a clutch purse? I'd think that before carrying it in a non-vertical position, it should be in a tight container of some sort just in case it leaks a little.
2. I was told by e-mail that if the Blackout X is not in use at all, the manufacturer suggests the battery should have a 4-6 month shelf life. So if you buy a 3-pack, but don't use the 3rd one until 6 months from now, the battery could have died on you before then. With that guillotine over it, they should put the battery date on the unit package.
In my brief (thus far) time using the Blackout X, I thought it was very exceptional, though with future advancing technology I would expect the tip of the spear to keep moving to even user-friendlier vapes. Because that's what it's all about: be user-friendly (making the user do as little as possible with it except inhale), discreet, affordable, and cool looking.
Anyway, all it took me was one 5-second hit of Yilo CO2 oil (40-50% THC) on the Blackout X, held in as long as I could, with more sips of air, to fully medicate me.
If anyone here uses the Blackout X extensively in the future, please let others here know how it was, compare the user experience for oil and wax, and tell us how well it works near the end of the battery life, after a lot of oil/wax has been put into it.
It would also be nice to hear a report from anyone who is using it with CBD oil. How's the effectiveness?
