I used the Prima all night as my evening vaporizer... 3 extended (double) sessions
I did not replace the battery on charger, so I could look in the morning.
75% (3 dots showing), I am about to have a morning session.
VERY important to remember is that this is convection vaporization.
While the Prima may be small, room is built in for heated air to pass through the herb.
Just as an example, the Pax is of a similar shape but is pure conduction, meaning you pack the oven tight and get very dark abv when a load is toasted.
Traditionally the ABV from convection vaporization is not as dark a shade of brown.
While a much more unwieldy form and weight, the Firefly is pure convection.
The amount of herbal material that you can put in the Prima is small... and is approximately what one would put in the NO2.
This small amount of herb should be filled in the chamber, but not be packed, as air must pass through it.
Convection vapor has a more clear flavor, and you can get a better feel for the flavor of the strain you are using. Convection vapor can be hot, so slower speed of draw can cool it down.
I filled the Prima chamber full to the top, then leveled it as one might wipe the foam from a mug of beer.
I did not tamp it in any fashion.
The grind was a bit fine the first few sessions, but I liked the vapor better with medium grind (more like oregano from spice shelf).
I liked the flavor of the Prima.
I tasted nothing reminiscent of plastic.
I never did a "dry burn".
An idea for those that are sensitive to "factory smells" like packing and wraps is to open a new package, and let it sit a few minutes before you start suspiciously sniffing for aromas.
Those that are freaked out by new synthetic materials... stay away from Vaporizers like Volcano, Pax, Inhalater, Iolite and tons others... and stick to wood/glass/Stainless Steel.
The Prima was used again today for two extended sessions....
and I checked.. battery level is now at half.
I am charging the battery.
Cleanup was very simple.
Thumbs up on the the Prima!
