Vaping with soRE throat

Hey guys i just picked up and im wanting to blaze but i have a soar throat and im recovering from a fever, congestion ect. Do you think it would make my throat worse or not matter?

I would be hitting a vape none of that combustion nonsense.

Just get some menthol cough drops and put one on your tongue when you take the hit. Then its actually pretty soothing on the throat.

I have a chest cold right now, and I'm using some Chloraseptic spray before I vape. Works like a charm.

I had no problem vaping through sickness... awesome painkiller.

Use a bong with ice if possible.

Funny, I've been having this same problem. Must've all gotten sick from the same weed... kidding. I haven't stopped normal usage for being sick, but irritation may last depending on the user. I second those menthol cough drops, Vick's has some good ones.

I've seen some studies that marijuana use can lower your immune system's efficiency in fighting off colds.
In my experience, I've noticed no difference so I'd chalk it up to a lack of studies being done.

I've found that I can take a stem or two off my PD no problem as long as I drink lots of water.
Great thing is that my sore throat disappears as soon as the high starts to come on !

i have a sore throat too atm. started late last night and had it when i woke up today, i even slept liek 12 fucking hours hoping to beat whatever it is i'm getting. in the past, i made firecrackers when my throat was fucked, but that was when i was smoking also.....its much more tolerable to vape with a sore throat IMO. going to pick up some of those menthol cough drops, that's a great idea

Well, vaping is at least a little better on a sore throat than smoking!!

I have a great sore throat remedy which I'll throw out for those who are into natural remedy stuff.

Licorice Root - not the candy. I buy licorice root capsules from a health food store. When throat is sore I open a capsule and dump a little of the powder in my mouth followed by a sip of water. Swish, swallow. It coats the throat and eases throat pain. It helps A LOT and can be repeated as needed. I just re-close the capsule for later use and usually get 3-4 'doses' out of each capsule. Also, doesn't taste 1/2 bad if don't hate licorice

Many of the singer's remedies use licorice root though I'd caution anyone with high blood pressure to use sparingly as it can elevate blood pressure if enough is consumed.

I've given away more capsules than I've used over the years I suspect but everyone who takes it to try loves it and ends up buying their own licorice root.

I have like a mild version of bronchitis. me and my gf (both sick...she had to share it with me =) gotta love her) tried a mixture of lemon balm, peppermint, and damiana. Its amazing for a cold =) and I mean amazing! Sort of like the effects of a menthol cig without the smoke. Helped my cough tremendously.

I find smoking and vaping always wind up aggravating my symptoms, does not seem to be normal for most people though. Only one way to be sure.. Just take it easy your first time to find out.

you didnt say which type of vape you got, but hopefully it something with a whip or something thatt can be attached to one so you can run the vapor through cold water and over ice before it gets to your lips. Vapor of any sort will be a lot better for your throat/lungs than smoke of course, but iced vapor (as i like to call it) is x2 as smooth hitting.

I usually cough after exhaling a hit from my DBV using just the whip, not because it's harsh or anything, but just because it get a tickle in my lungs/throat area. but if i vapebong w/ ice, i can hold it in as long as i want and let it out smoothly, even while i'm talking (big hits last like 4 setences! lol), and not cough afterward 80+% of the time anyways. The huge rips that have my lungs filled to capacity still get me sometimes lol, but you only gotta take a couple of them and your off.

If you're not feeling 100% tho, as you mentioned, just take a smaller hit and it will just feel like a breath of cool air

i've had a cold now for like 2 weeks. i got antibiotics, they are almost gone and some of my symptoms (chest/nasal congestion, voice sounds weird, pressure, some coughing) are still here! i've been vaping through most of this. now i've gone 2 days without. i'm gonna try to keep going to see if it will go away. of course problem is that not vaping for x days is also confounded with x days passing, so if my cold does go away now that i've stopped vaping, it could just be b/c of the time that passed! DOH

If you have a cold, why are you using antibiotics? A cold is viral and antibiotics won't do much unless you have a bacterial infection.

Also taking antibiotics when you don't need them can make them less useful to you at a later date when you really do need them. Each time you use them you increase your chance for creating new generations of bacteria that could potentially become antibiotic tolerant.
Not saying you don't need them, for all I know you may have been prescribed them, and if so more than likely you don't have a cold if that is the case.
