Vaping hash in a volcano

I've had a volcano for 10 years and have been vaping herb all that time. I want to vape some hash and have bought some vape wool, but want to be certain I'm doing it correctly so I don't ruin my device. There's not much information out there about doing it correctly,ie, exactly how to vape using the vape wool, and the quantity of hash to use safely can anyone help?

I have never used vape wool and have only ever used hash on top of flower material. I am sure you just need to make sure your hash is not melting into your Volcano.

I use dry sift or bubble hash with the volcano somewhat frequently. I use Japanese cotton pads and rip up a small amount to cover the screen of the volcano bowl in a little layer of cotton wool. Then I rip up the hash into little pieces and spread it out over the cotton. Then I take another piece of cotton wool and place it on top, so that the hash is sandwiched between two pieces of cotton wool. I then fill one balloon at max temperature, and right after filling this ballon (yields somewhat wispy but tasty vapor), I open up the bowl, take out the cotton hash sandwich, and pull on it a bit from all sides to stretch out the cotton. This then spreads the hash apart, exposing even more surface area. I then shove the cotton hash sandwich back into the bowl, making sure it fits in nicely. This next balloon will be crazy dense, and that's where I find the best vapor is.

I then just keep repeating the process, every time after filling up a balloon, pulling apart the hash a bit. At a certain point, the hash will kind of just turn into powder and start falling out of the cotton, and that's where I stop my session. I really like vaping hash like this, and this same method seems to work with a lot of different vaporisers.

I use traditional hash deposited directly in the bowl, as with herb. It can be messy for the screens, so I use ISO alcohol to clean them.
