So, not a vapeing story because I'm not getting high around work these days. Back in the day, however... I worked at this radio station in the midwest. The overnight guy would come in occasionally with a joint & we'd step into the stairwell (sometimes I brought as well.) So this was in the early days of automation & the system was ok, but you had to watch it. We come back in and there is silence. Dead air. So I wished him well and went home.
Sike.
We're frantically trying to get the automation to respond. It's during the news, so I'm switching manually to the news service. It's not working. It's like an anxiety dream, where you know what you have to do, but something isn't right and you can't get it to work. Or you have 1 minute to get to the other side of the building, but there is no way you can get there. And if you don't, it's your job.
Then suddenly it comes back on and works like normal. "What did you do?" "I don't know. What did you do?" "I don't know." "I'm gonna leave now." "Cool."
