I don't understand how people think they can do their jobs and people not know you're "a little" high. I'm afraid I fuck up enough when completely sober.
Particularly if you start and finish high - how on earth would they know?
Also - unlike alcohol, the response varies pretty widely from person to person. Alcohol it boils down to "are you a happy, sad, or angry drunk?"
And, WHAT you do matters, too. Driving school bus, directly responsible for someone's health and safety? I would rather you were sober. Data entry clerk? I am not too fussed unless your performance sucks, which could be herb or it could just be you suck at your job - if you always work high, how can i discern? If you get high and your performance suffers - don't get high at work.
Different tokes for different folks.
Yep!
During work the herb is my medicine it helps keep me level headed, after work it is my stress reliever.
I worked in IT management, and the last couple of years I was so knocked out on painkillers that I think I would have functioned a whole lot better on MJ,
Agree with both. My last day at work (last job in Denver) I worked high. The day before saw my supervisor and I snapping each other's heads off and it was incredibly stressful. My final day was much better!
And, if you use it to treat a medical condition, well, it is possible the pharma drug they would put you on would affect your performance anyway, so why be fussed if it is oxycodone or cannabis you are taking? And if you are flipping out at the least little remark when unmedicated (read: vaked) then I sure as shoot would prefer you high if it makes you MORE capable.
Depends on what you do, I think some jobs, particularly those requiring creativity would be enhanced by the use of cannabis.
There are so many variables that other than the health and safety issue, I do not think it can be considered a black & white issue.
