I do have a high tolerance to opiates. I never abused them or anything, so its a catch 22. When I need them I can take 5mg now (if I have broken bones etc w/e they prescribe them for rarely) and get relief for ONE day. After that I need 10mg to get ANY relief. It builds really fast with me. 60mg a day is pretty high, and I'm glad it was just one day of withdrawal sickness due to me just stopping when I ran out rather than tapering.
I will say this, after being on benzos when I was younger, NOTHING feels addicting anymore. Nothing will compare to the addictiveness of benzos IMO.
Back on topic a bit more, I find it VERY hard to believe that if someone commits a hit and run it is only a misdemeanor. I know it is very serious in most/all states.
Drunk drivers are the absolute worst thing ever. Its so rarely them that get hurt which makes me so mad. I just wish instead of hitting innocent people they would all end up full speed into a tree/pole and speed up natural selection.
REALLY don't feel bad about taking the percocet. For me personally they no longer seem sedative, they actually give me an energy boost now which I find weird, but it helps get me thinking more positively. Sometimes feeling all better for a little bit (even if its just from the opiate) can make a big difference. For me its a nice reminder of what life without pain is like, and that almost gets me "motivated" to heal faster.
