is there any sort of time-frame for when e-mails will go out to the $450-priced pre-orders? You had said a week after the other e-mails were sent out I believe, but I'm sure that with the credit card issues things got backed up a bit.

Sorry to leave you guys out in the dark about that... Long story short, in case you haven't been following, we were forced to refund everyone's money and only process credit cards when the orders would be shipped. The $350 pre-orders will get emails around Xmas, once they have placed their orders, we will allow the $450 users to begin placing their orders. Hope that makes sense, let me know if you need more clarity.

Oh alright! I didn't realize that you meant that the "confirmation emails", stating that you could go order or "prepurchase", were going to be resent entirely. So things are just getting moved back to their more proper place then rather than giving us the confirmation so early without being able to purchase! Makes sense.

@charlie - sorry, i misread you. yes, man, the whip i am partial to from my DBV use. i've got a big one that i hope can fit the opening of the cloud. just imagine taking bit hits thru the whip, wow.....also so much safer with clumsies.

I think it'd be a shame to have any Cloud attachments which don't pass the vape through water, as this is the major point of difference as far as I'm concerned- but I think it'd be possible to make some sort of bubbler with a whip attached (maybe even multiple whips, like a hookah) and a stand to hold the whole unit steady during use.

water is cool. i use some homemade bubbler thing on my lotus. yes, i feel it's always nicer with water too. also, tq for the podcast, i so enjoyed it in the absence of any new cloud vids/review.

Obviously water is nice - I stated before that I use it 90% of the time when I vape. While I understand seeing it as a "shame" not to use water, it's also not looking at the big picture not to consider what the VXC can do dry through a whip, or with a specifically-made dry mouthpiece. And of course a hydratube with another female joint on top could be made, so that a mouthpiece or whip or even bag adapter could be at the top, so that you had water filtered whip or bag hits too. And dopefiend I hadn't considered a hookah; it'd be pretty to do with a little custom glass blowing, and I bet the super unrestricted air flow of the Cloud would be great for it.

I know I'm getting way out there at this point, trust me.

Little bit confused, do you mean the "special" pricing folks go first, or that all $350 orders first then $425 sov packages will follow. Sorry for asking, just not understanding. I was #79 with Sov package with preorder price of 425.

The "special" pre-order price for the SOV package was 425, not 450.

The normal price for the other two packages is 450.

I don't remember what page, but somewhere it was indicated that your choice of tube and place in line would all be preserved when the time comes to officially "order".

What about those of us who hadn't placed a CC order on their preorder yet, because they were agonizing over tubes and there were like 3 days left? I don't have a number or a guaranteed place in line or a tube choice stated. I know we're dealing with the chillest vape company ever so I'm not the least bit concerned truthfully.

Dopediend, your podcast was great. Made me laugh when you guys mentioned the one sided darth Vader thing. I think that the cloud is hard to compare to the volcano though because they both have there set purposes, and imo, the volcano is already years behind.

I sent Rogan and Dopefiend's unit out on the same day before my vacation and was in a bit of a rush. After I got back, I realized I grabbed one of the old beta units that was in for repair and hadn't been disassembled by mistake. Hoping to meet up with him at the UFC this weekend to personally give him his unit but if I can't, he'll have a brand new one early next week to use. Not sure how Doug Benson got a hit at all, maybe he is higher level stoner and was about to pull some vape out of a broken Cloud. Hoping to see the VXC make another appearance on the JRE.

BTW - I never saw the part with the blinking red light...was that in the beginning or end?

I'd like to posit SM55's statement earlier mentioning the VXC's conductive heating

Due to the nature of our ELB and the way we utilize both convective and conductive extraction methods, it improves the extraction efficiency and we produce thicker vapor while leaving the ABV a lighter color.

First off, isn't it true that the ELB can be handled almost immediately after taking a few rips out of the VXC?
I'm confused on how that would be possible if its utilizing conductive heating.

At first I just thought its just so thin, less mass=faster cooling, but then the crucible bowl for the Herbalaire is super thin too, and that takes a long time to cool down. Granted it is constantly being heated the entire time, but wouldn't the ELB still have to get significantly hot during the hit to contribute to conduction heating?

Does the ELB simply get a little hot, just nowhere near as hot as other convection/conduction hybrid vaporizers? (log vapes, supreme, iolite, HA, etc)

If so, does that mean, compared to the other convection/conduction hybrid heating systems, the "heating equation" is simply more convection+less conduction (but still both)?

I can see that being a great explanation for both its effectiveness and efficiency

I can confirm the ELB is tolerable to touch directly after extraction. It's hot, of course, but cools rather quickly.

Finally, something I have experience with to comment on. I find that if you dump the crucible out of the HA and use lab tweezers to set it on an appropriate heat sink, it cools within seconds. But if you leave the crucible in the HA . . . there might not be much left when you come back. One thing I did notice was to reduce the smell I put a glass over the top, using direct draw method, and a nice amount of honey oil collected while the HA was cooling. If I wouldn't have put that there it would have just gone into the atmosphere. Now, the only reason I leave a crucible in the HA when I walk away is because its cached. Otherwise, out it goes to cool. I am really looking forward to the Cloud rectifying this problem for me.

I've left the ELB in the Cloud, while it's on, for about half an hour, then come back to it, and have found that there's very little, if any, goodness lost. On average a full bowl gives me about 20 average size hits, and I don't notice any less when I leave the chamber in the Cloud compared to when I remove it between sessions.

It's warm when you take it out, but not too hot to touch or dismantle, so that shows that it only really heats up when you're drawing.

I also found I could remove the ELB while it was hot, felt hot but not so much so that I couldn't handle. This vape has so many things about it I love.
