that may b a client mod if u have the screens that u can pop in cloud, place vapor stuff in , place screen on top, then if screens stay put or u can ask to hav ridges made in glass to help hold; it should werk if u dont want herbals to cook on heater unit?edit oops sorry thought u meant cloud being the glass bong sorry , whatever works & doesn't let herb overheat

Just a quick update - the herb chamber/bowl has changed since we posted that diagram. I will post a picture of how the bowl works now but to answer your question, the herb will reside in the male GonG joint like the wands you use for whip based vaporizers. We did add a new twist to make loading/stirring/unloading easier.

Screens are the weakest link in all the vapes I've used. I change my EQV elbow screen every other session and DBV wands are notorious for their leakage of minute particles. I don't know what you're working on but if dual boro glass screens are feasible, even if backed up by SS screens, I'd strive for that kind of solution.

Unfortunately, screens are for doors -- to keep the flies out!

I envision something that is like the bottom of a showerhead downstem welded into the bowl instead of a screen. The flat bottom and slits would likely work great for turbulence and air flow.

I am sure that VapeXhale's team could put something together like this in the future, but also sure that it would be MUCH more expensive than their current design (and may be much less popular for that reason).

I was wondering the bowl stays on the Cloud between hits as far as i know, does it overcook
wenn you take a pause ? Because heat rises i thought maybe the bowl can't stay on the Cloud
during a bigger pause between larger hits.

Why not "Boro Balls"? 4 hit BB-sized chambers encapsulated with SS mesh like MFLB you could roll in and out of the GonG chamber like little glass Swiss cheese cannon balls. Keep a few in rotation and you're good to go!

absolutely LOVE the idea of a mini or micro HydraTube.....I think the Toro micros and SG mini Stemlines are so dope and of course my mini itza keeps me very happy daily.

I was just wondering, where exactly do you guys stand for a retail launch? With it being the holidays, if you guys are planning to start shipping in January or something, Id like to know so I can pace my spending. I'm planning to sell off a couple of my vapes once I can get a Cloud in my hand, I just wanted to see where things stand in that regard.

You're not going to get a more specific date than that right now.

I understand what his signature says but originally this unit was scheduled to launch 7 or 8 months ago, then it was before the holidays and now its Q1 or 2011. Im not asking for trade secrets or internal VXC top secret knowledge, I just was asking how things are coming and if things still look like their on course for a sooner than later launch.

@poopmachine - We are looking to launch in the first quarter of 2011 - We have currently finalized our specs and are now waiting for specific adjustments to be made to our tools/moulds/machines in order to crank out our vapes. One of our pieces that we are finalizing specs on has a 60-90 day lead time so we are making sure that we will always have continuity in our supply chain to fulfill orders.

Being that this is my first manufacturing venture, I haven't been the best at forecasting when things will get completed but rest assured that every day that goes by, we at the VapeXhale Labs are constantly looking at better ways we can tweak and improve the experience and not just sitting around twiddling our thumbs waiting for our latest revision to arrive.

I can totally empathize with your situation about wanting to pace your spending. I would just take the conservative approach and make an assumption for a March launch of Cloud. Have a great Sunday everyone, time for me to open up Daddy DayCare Sundaze

The delivery system, its smaller than a full fledged bong setup but still all glass with thermostat controlled heating, innovation at its best.

Well if the initial launch 120v VXC is Q1 2011 is it safe to assume end of Q2 2011 would be 220v VXC launch ?
Also SM if you could in due time get hold of some pressed hash and make a video vaporizing that via VXC, that would be super for us hash baba's in the other side of the world.

@audiodelic - I just checked in with my engineer. The good news is, the piece that we have to swap out to make change it from 120 to 200v is the same size regardless of voltage. We will do some testing once we finalize everything. I am hoping our European and Australian customers do not have to wait too long to get their VXCs

He mentioned a few posts up that they should launch around March if all goes well. He has also been keeping release updates in the Signature area of his posts. I want one also, but all we can do is wait, wait I will do gladly considering the advancements that the Cloud will be offering and finally at a fair honest price.


Just look at other bong/waterpipe vaporizer options like De Verdamper or the Herborizer, these things still have the heater in the Air Path so they can not be considered "All Glass Air-Path" vaporizers. These vapes for a complete set up can run upwards of $500-$600+ and you still don't have the technology or features that you will have in a $350 Cloud.

Only the Herborizer offers some sort of temperaure control which is really just a voltage dimmer rather than a true thermostat, so it really is only an estimate of the temperature, but it has no idea and can not compensate for temperature loss when you inhale since it just keeps the voltage set point the same.

De Verdamper doesn't even have temperature control of any kind, it just has a steady amount of voltage applied to the heater, but when you inhale the temperature of the heater will lower and the device has no way of knowing it. Another point is that the heater temperature can also, in theory can be different based on where you are using it, take for instance you were using the Verdamper on you porch in the Winter and it is 30degF and then you use it in the Summer when it is 90degF, with no thermostat, in theory the temperatures will vary greatly.
