I lived in both China and Taiwan and Mr Gweilo is absolutely 1000% correct.

The executions used to be public in China and I witnessed a few. They would parade the unfortunate souls through the streets to the execution grounds and complete the deed.

The scanners will see everything in both your carry-on, as well as your checked bags.

Hiding it in a book would not be a good move and most likely end up with you being seriously delayed.

Not necessarily hidden but making it seem like it's just a pen in a book ... as long they can't see thru the GH at the internals won't it just seem like a regular pen as a page marker in my book?

But really, of course they can see the internals. This is the same technology they use to take pictures of your bones!

At any rate, where are you going? It's not illegal to fly with vaporizers. I wouldn't bring one filled with anything, however.

You're flying domestically, right?
There's no reason to hide it, just clean it properly before bringing it and you won't have any problems. You're allowed to bring vaporizers. Make sure you bring the battery in your carry on, although I never check bags so I bring everything in my carry on. I've traveled with Volcano's... GH is nothing!

Invertedisdead.. It is not illegal to fly with brand new unused vaporizers... as to the legality of a used vape with residue, it depends upon the jurisdiction you are flying through. In my state a device with residue will for starters cost you a $1,000 fine.. that is per device!

I hear what others are saying, they're looking for explosives etc. Domestically is definitely lower risk, but please do so informed and review the laws of the states you have transfers in.

My last trip from CA to OR (legal state to legal state) connected in Salt Lake City Utah which is not a legal state, I had my alfa in my carryon, no issues. It was thoroughly cleaned but still smelled of yummy cannabis if you were to take it out of the smellproof thermos I use as a case. You would think Utah would have a law like that in place. Either I got lucky or Utah is cooler than I thought.
Also thankful my new Vapcap is designed in such a way that it can be truly cleaned to the point where it emits no weed smell (at least to a human. drug dog, could go either way).

I did on royal Caribbean last July with no issues. I only took concentrate and paraphernalia though. No flower.

Wax pens...the ones in my signature. I vape nic juice as well, so I just had my wax, wax atomizers, extra coils, batteries, mod box and all my nic juices all packed together.

Watched my brothers ECig go through the scanner and you couldn't see any internals, just the outline. I think the GH would essentially just be a pen going through

It all boils down to how much risk you want to take. I fly all the time with vaporizers and product, but I'm retired (no job to lose), I have no children to be taken from me, and can afford (hopefully) any fines imposed. But flying with vaporizers is not an offense. If you have no product, no problem.

TSA's mandate is to find bombs and stuff, but will turn you over to Local Law Enforcement if they find drugs. So hide drugs well. You can't fool dogs, but generally dogs are not used on domestic flights (too costly). Even if you don't take as much shit as I do (2 checked bags, 2 carry-ons), it is unlikely TSA will ascertain well-hidden product, unless they x-ray each item in your bag. Jumbled up with everything else, I believe (fingers crossed) product is indistinguishable.

Here is a photo of the 8 pre-filled carts I brought with me to Mexico for a 6-week stay. I put them in with suppliments. The TSA opened this bag (they leave a note) probably because I had some cords (HDMI, immersion blender) that looked sketchy in an xray.

NY. I have not had my devices tested and do not plan on risking their being tested. My point is if you're flying through a similar jusrisdiction and encounter a TSA agent who is having a bad day, it could be a real problem. As long as MJ is schedule 1 drug the US is a problem.

Well, they kicked the US military out and our presence there is not appreciated like it used to be. Their new president is going to start making deals with China. He also likes to execute drug criminals, including users. He is becoming notorious for summary executions on site, no trial, no judge, no jury. Also, when I was there because of my race I had to be constantly protected. I was a kidnap target because they think if you are white you are rich. I couldn't even be in view when taxi prices were being negotiated or else the price was 3 to 5 times higher. It was unnerving to turn around a catch people staring at me, all the time. The cops are not your friends there. Get involved with them and it will cost you, and probably your family, a lot to negotiate your release. Also, stay away from lit windows at night. You might think that they are all popping firecrackers at night in Manila, but they aren't, those are gunshots.

No thanks. Not for me. I paid my exit tax, which they tried a little scam to make me pay it twice, and left but couldn't relax until I felt the wheels of the jet leave the tarmac.

Man tell me about it, that President is completely out of control! He admitted to summary murder of drug users and distributors in the media FFS, what a piece of work!

I would definitely not go to the Phillipines if I could help it. If for some reason anybody here absolutely MUST go there - I suggest that you plan on having a t-break. @TwistedGray please consider this - it ain't worth your life like @t-dub says.

Which sucks because we'll be there in a few months...sucks more because of how easy it is to find along with other interesting edibles (read: mushrooms).

In Thailand the cannabis commonly available is brick weed and it is putrid. The mushrooms are not much better.

Cannabis is available in Taiwan and China although contacts are required.
