VapePower: High Performance Vaporizer Batteries

VapePower is an open source project aiming to make it possible (and easy) for end users to replace the ailing batteries of several models of portable vaporizer. Currently the Arizer Solo and Inhalater models of vaporizer are supported. Users can purchase ready made batteries which require a simple plug-and-play installation, or advanced users can examine the progress thread to gain an insight on to how to assemble their own.
The high capacity battery provides up to 50% more battery capacity in real world use than a new stock battery. The following charts compare both batteries discharge performance on two different versions of the Arizer Solo. All test cycles were done on level 7 for 12 minutes.
jXkr8Ny.png

The standard capacity battery provides a replacement battery of a similar level of performance to the original Solo battery, but with a longer operational life. It is ideal for users who want to replace an ailing Solo battery, but do not need to increase the total battery life of the Solo.
These batteries stay within the safe operational levels of a standard Li-Ion battery and therefore pose no risk to your vaporizer. Using a high capacity battery pack will not void your warranty.
All batteries sold carry a 90 day limited warranty which starts the day of installation. This warranty covers any issues which may regard the battery such as unreliable performance, failure or any other obvious defect in workmanship. This warranty does not apply if the battery is used or charged externally from the vaporizer. Installation is very easy, and the new battery will fit in your device perfectly. Take a look at this video to get an idea of the steps required:
The following batteries are offered:
3400mAh High Capacity Pack for Arizer Solo ................................... 48$ + Shipping
2400mAh Standard Capacity Pack for Arizer Solo ............................ 30$ + Shipping
3400mAh High Capacity Cell for Inhalater INH004/XP ........ 13$ + Shipping
Estimated shipping costs are:
Within Canada: .... <11$
Mainland USA: ..... <12$
Europe and UK: .... <12$
Australia: ............... <14$
For more information, or to place an order, please visit www.vapepower.ca
Please feel free to ask general questions in the comment section below if it is not answered by the F.A.Q.
PayPal, Interac and Credit Card are acceptable methods of payment.
And I would just like to say a heartfelt thank you to the FC community and staff, as well as the people who preordered and supported me in my project. You are all wonderful people and I never would have been able to get this far without all of your encouragement.

Looking brilliant, CentiZen! I don't even own either of the vapes you're presently supporting yet, but I like what you've got going. I'll be watching VapePower for sure.

Received my batt pack for my tired M102 from CentiZen, had it installed in less than 10 minutes (easy-peasy with the instructions), charged it up full and she works like a charm

EDIT: wanted to add that I went out and purchased a cheap precision screwdriver set for $5 that included the phillips #00 by 20mm tip that is 'perfect' for those tiny screws since all I had at home was a general philips screwdriver that would have ruined the screw heads without a doubt.

Really great idea, and great prices aswell! The shipping costs are a little higher than ideal but with the prices being so affordable for the batteries I'm sure we can deal with it :p.

Ill be trying on of these out for my INH as soon as it gives me the slightest excuse to replace the stock one.

Thumbs up for making two of the best portable vapes even better!

Glad you put the edit in cause that is why I couldn't open mine I suppose and didn't want to strip it. I tried a few different ones and I have a lot but then realized I need the exact size since the cuts on the screws are shallow. Now I know the exact size to get to open it. Is there anyway to tell the size except by looking cause with the amount of tools I have I can't imagine I don't have the right one? Yes, I have a lot of tools and don't use any of them but I like tools lol. I still don't get why I don't have a dremel.

IMO if you insert 'whatever' tip into the screw head and can't turn to it with the lightest finger tip strength then try just a lil bit firmer.

You should realize it quite easily and quickly if the tip your trying to use isn't the right one.

Then again.... if you keep trying and failing, then your just too stoned :freak::wave:

i really like your idea but im terrible with electronics. have you considered making videos to go with your instructions it might help some of the people like me.
is this something anyone can do or would you recommend that only people with some experience attempt to replace the batteries?

I REALLY REALLY believe 'anyone' can do it with just the written instructions... it's that straight forward and simple. The only ones I feel would have issues are those with debilitating hand/finger affliction, or hand/eye dextairity issues.

Wish I was a vid guy to help out, but sorry... hopefully someone will step up to help put your's and other's hesitation to ease with it's simplicity.

Rose if you solo is older then mine and not used as much...daily in my case then don't worry cause I will get to it before you. If I can do it anyone can. FFS I tried to open an allen screw on my wheelchair yesterday to clean the front castors and couldn't turn it. First I only had regular allen wrenches and had to borrow metric(stupid ass companies mix metric and regular in almost all chairs), and find the right one easily but no amount of strength I had could open it. I had my caregiver try and no go. I will find a man to do it for me but if I didn't know better it was like it was machined on like when the over tighten you nuts on the your car tires. That is the same how I felt with the solo screws so didn't go further. I doubt I will have a problem once it is open cause it looks just like the inside of a computer and I am comfy with that.

Hello everyone,

I would like to let everyone know that I am currently out of stock of all batteries. Replacement cells were ordered a few weeks ago and should be arriving any day now, but for the time being I will not be able to take or fill any orders.

Thanks!

The key is balance
Hey there CentiZen, my original solo shows a solid red light where the flashing green light should be while charging. The unit at this point won't power up at all even when plugged in. Im pretty sure from what i've researched I messed the thing up when my charger died and I used a universal one. I was just wondering if I purchased your battery pack and replaced the old one would the unit work? Thanks in advance

Edit: the solo is an M105 model

I currently have both of my solos in the same state. I'm sorry, but the battery won't fix it - it's the charging circuit that's been affected. Both cases with my solo happened because I applied the DC voltage backwards.

What I am doing now is using an external charger to charge up my solo packs when I need them on an excursion. Other than that I'm a plug-in vaper now.

Hi everyone!

I've had a couple different people ask me how well this battery fits into the solo. Lot's of people have tried using premade Tenergy packs like I did originally and have had issues with the size of them. They fit, but you have to push and this causes the top of the Solo to flex and makes it difficult to insert stems.

These batteries however, are a perfect fit for the Arizers battery compartment, so there will be no flexing or stress on the Solo. They fit flush to the top and back so there is no rattling either. Just wanted to clear that up in case that was a sticking point for someone.

Thanks!

my deceased arizer solo has been restored!

centizen's battery pack came in the mail today, took basically 4 business days to ship from canada to my home in california.

battery installation was a piece of cake, the most difficult part is just having the correct screwdriver. i got the new battery in the solo in less than 5 minutes, and the thing just works like an absolute beast.

it's so great having the freedom of long battery life once again!

I think you may be right on the screwdriver thing. I never opened my solo cause I have checked most of my screwdrivers and none fit good enough for me stripping the screws.

Congrats on your new again solol

I'm glad it is working for you! Thanks for mentioning that, I'll be sure to mention to people what size of bit they should use.

For anyone reading who is curious, the correct size of bit is Phillips #00
