VapCap, My Experience

Well I tried the VapCap with some kinda hash wax and I was not impressed in fact I just tossed it in the garbadge this morning. Heating it and waiting for click and sure I got it to work but it's so very hard to gauge hits, plus it's sticky and messy. So far I am most impressed with cartridges with smoothness and easier to gauge hits and I especially like the Rokin Mini. I actually bought a pure black bandana so the next time I want to use in the outdoor daylight I can actually see the blue turnoff light.

Anyway I'm not here to diss the VapCap but just to post my experience with it and hey I'm still a FNG(Fucking New Guy). So to those of you who like VapCap, good for you. I will receive my Revenger X 220W Plus 5m Mini-Tank today and has all the bells and whistles under the sun and it has simplicity for the FNG and complexity for all the "Old Hats". Sayonara.

This sounds to me like you were using it as a concentrate vape. As is, the Vapcap vapes dry bud. Meaning you place bud in the herb chamber, heat to the click and toke. A pancake or slice of hash also vapes great just plopped into the chamber, although hash does require an extra second or so of heat. Not sticky. Not messy.

To vape concentrates, you best use a concentrate pad. No stick no mess and can be loaded for several sessions. But if you just loaded a concentrate into the chamber and had at it, I imagine that it melted all over your beautiful new Vapcap. It's a shame that it was treated in this way.

Dig it out of the garbage bin, clean it up a bit and gift it to someone you love. The Vapcap is a wonderful vaporizer and while it may not be for you, someone else would love it dearly.

Well it was a yellow, solid waxy substance with about 66% THC and I bought a gram inside a little glass jar.

How'd you use it with hash? Did you use cotton or degummed hemp?

I also dug it out of the garbadge for future reference, maybe in the springtime. Yes I am a FNG to so many of the new methods and forms of THC but at least I'm trying and pretty flexible at age 68(Retired). I've smoked since 1968 and I am definetly "Old School" but I have managed to be able to obtain MJ(not medical) thruout all those years. So when they passed recreational here in California I thought I'd check out those "Stores" and see "What's Up" even tho I had at least 1/2 oz. or premium Humbolt Bud. I just wanted to see what's out there. Now while the stores had lots of various forms of THC, the equipment to use was lacking. I did buy an Absolute Extracts Pen however. I have since bought a Rokin Mini and I really like it....SMOOTH. I admit I have been like a kid in a candy store, but hey I'm retired. Still I'm slowing down on the apparatus and now will just concentrate on the ingredients. Cartridges and top grade buds specifically.

I certainly appreciate all who have provided info and advice on this matter and I will also admit to being a little stupid about some of the new-fangled gadgets that are out there but at least I try and I'm learning fast. I am also HONEST. Sayonara.

No, he meant how did you load it into the bowl, as in did you wrap it in cotton or degummed hemp fiber or something else?

The Vapcap's main purpose is as a dry-herb vape, not for wax. If you use it with wax, you need to wrap your little ball of wax into something it can soak into as you heat and vape it. If you just dropped some wax into the bowl by itself, you're going to have a bad time.

The only way I ever use wax in my Dynavap vaporizers is if I sandwich a small amount of it in between a bottom and top layer of flower.

FYI most of those cartridges are the lowest quality cannabis extracts available. Especially in California. Last year over 80% of cannabis products failed for residual pesticides, mostly the prefilled cartridges and edibles.

Hey thanks a bunch man for taking the time and effort to help educate me, I do very much appreciate it. I also bought a nice, fairly simple 8 or 10 inch bong. It's from Spain, really nice all glass beaker type..."Weird Science". Looks great and smokes great. Say's ya don't need a screen but I finagled a small one on it, then put that yellow waxy substance on the screen and smoked it...ahhh...and it worked fine. Still I think I'm done with the wax form of THC. Waiting on the weather to get nice again and it has been nice, but a cold front moved in and it's the coldest it's been for SF Bay Area. I only go to SF if the weather is sunny and warm, mt. biking weather(After 45 min train ride). Maybe a couple weeks then the experiment continues. I will be looking for something to throw in the tank of my new Revenger X which I just recieved today. Now I'm waiting on the special NITECORE Rechargeble batteries which I will receive in about a week. Man let me tell ya buying batteries for a MOD is FUCKING "ROCKET SCIENCE"! Sayonara.
