Over the falls, in a barrel
Do you happen to have any sources to back up the conclusion that this will definitively eliminate any health risks? I just can't feel comfortable getting near anything that's been touched by mold, nor recommending to anyone else that it's safe for them to it breathe into their lungs no matter what possible treatment might be considered.Presuming you've gotten rid of the visible white bubbles (fungal colonies) and the mold was on the surface (not burrowed extensively under the surface, throughout buds), simply 'sterilize' or kill all living fungi and other microorganisms by heat (also drying the material and activating THC) -- put it in an oven say at 200˚F for say 20 minutes. Then, optionally (not really needed), shaking and blowing gently on and/or screening your material will further get rid of any loose inhalable (but dead) spores and broken dehydrated mold mycelia. And of course, seal your herb while warm and dry (don't let it adsorb moisture from the air).
This way fungal (and also parasite, bacterial and viral) inhalation infection risks are simply nonexistent!
My own fear is two-fold, given I have mold allergy to worry about in addition to the usual health concerns. So I lean toward "nuke it from orbit" when it comes to considering how to deal with any given mold incident...
