I'll just wait for a stealth portable, but still...I'm thinking a whip vape could be a nice gift to myself for my birthday :p
I'm hesitating between the DBV and SSV...DBV is 160$ and SSV is 245$. With a free grinder of course...
As I said I'm not rich but I want the best of the 2, so if there's a difference worth noting I'd like to know, otherwise I'll go with the DBV and a half Oz hehe

Or maybe a Log vape...but I'm really looking for some big hits, and I'm really aching for it so I'm not sure I could deal with the waiting time...

If you'd looked as far as page 2 in Ask FC you'd wouldn't have had to ask that. And one is not better than the other. They use the same heater and electronics. It's a matter of personal preference. I'd pay the extra $ for the SSV anytime, but others prefer the DBV.

Thanks @max , I must of missed it!
I actually did take a look but didn't make use of the search function...I deserve a good slap on the wrist :p
I might go with the SSV even though there's a noticeable price difference, I'll be keeping it for a long time, I'm getting a sweet deal compared to the other online stores (like 60$ cuz of shipping) and it's going to be my "From Me - To Me" present for my 25th birthday, so why not, Eh?

One question I have though, I'm thinking of getting an Extreme Q/V-Tower Elbow adapter (18mm) to connect the whip to my bong, anyone tried it or know if it would work?

I'm mostly looking for a water bonging tool.
I think my best bet would be a combo wand/bag vape for variety reasons..
What's a good whip vape that's not too expensive? If does Bags as well it's a plus.

You should look into the Herbalaire. It is designed for whip, glass, bags, etc.
For direct draw I prefer it to the 7th Floor offerings given the same diameter of tubing.
If you're planning on running it through glass Herbalaire shines even brighter in my opinion.

There is nothing "compromised" about the Herbalaire's direct draw functionality.
It was designed for optimal extraction regardless of preferred vaporization method.
My personal favorite method is inverted directly through glassware, as seen here:

I'm about to order it straight from 7th Floor. Anyone knows of a Discount code?
I'm also thinking of painting the baseplate black instead of paying 10$ for that, good idea or not?
The only reason I'm ordering it from them is because torontovaporizer.ca is they only have the ground glass model and not the standard or spherical ground glass.

The GG comes down to 280$ with Quick shipping from Canada.
The Spherical GG with Bong Attachment and 10ft of tubing comes down to 342$ with Fixed Rate shipping or 366$ with Priority Mail International from the USA...

The Herbalaire looks nice but I'm looking for a hard hitter. And with the bong I have, it wouldn't work directly unless I buy an expensive adapter...
Plus, the SSV comes with a nice Bag so I can bring it to friends' house

I think Herbalaire not being a heavy hitter is a large misconception spread in FC.
Here is a video from the manufacturer supporting this:

Also, a new HA 2.2 is $140 (not sure about Canada shipping)
The adapter is less than $30 shipped.
$170 is half the price of the spherical SSV setup you're talking about.
Anyway, good luck with your 7th Floor vape, I hope you enjoy it more than I have.

It wasn't a misconception and it was well known/publicized years before FC appeared on the web.

While you can get big hits from it, it was years before they provided anything for direct draw but a stem with a very narrow air/vapor path, and owners came up with their own mods for a bigger vapor path and water filtration. I bought my herbalAire early in '06, and compared to my SSV, direct draw was absolutely pathetic in regards to big hits. That's not just my opinion, that's a fact. The vapor to air ratio, especially when loading chunks instead of ground herb (which was according to their instructions) couldn't come close to that of the SSV (or DBV or any other whip only vape with standard size tubing). I'm a fan of the HA and the company, but it took years and user DIY before the HA got any props for good direct draw hits, and a lot of those props came from FC.

@SunnyHours - If you haven't already placed an order, and you're not super uptight, consider ordering a blemished Da Buddha straight from 7th Floor:
http://dabuddhavaporizer.com/sale-items-1/blemished-da-buddha-vaporizer.html

These are units that simply have minor cosmetic defects, but come with the same warranty as a new piece. You might not get some of the extras like the bag, but I didn't find it seemed that secure with one completely open side anyway. Mine was "machined by a drunk": there is a little bit of scratching on the top of the aluminum housing, and the bottom is not level, so it wobbles a bit, but it is still a thing of absolute beauty. As much as I love my Herbalaire, it honestly looks like a laughably cheap piece of plastic when they are sharing the same surface. In hindsight, it would have been wise to save a little on a blemished unit, and put that towards getting some custom glass like a wand, or a heater cover with the savings. I was simply looking for the cheapest top-of-the-line whip vapourizer, and I believe this is it.

Since you're a fellow Canadian: shipping to Ontario took 10 days, and customs charged me 30 dollars in import fees.

I hope Vriptech will be good to me...my VHW just stopped working last night after only a year and 4 months.
So I don't know might be looking for another vape...this time would be between the Zephyr Ion and the Cloud Evo...if ever they don't wanna fix the Heat Wand, which I'm hoping they will, because I'm quite poor after the SSV purchase :p

@PoisonousHydra thanks for the ETA :)

The stock mouthpiece has always been contoured to 14/18 for direct water filtration.
Just because you didn't personally try something doesn't mean it wasn't a viable option.

Also, using a wider (standard) diameter of tubing is hardly a mod, and it has always been available.
Antiquated perception based on limited personal experience does not always equate to fact.

All that was provided or available for direct draw when the HA was introduced was the small mouthpiece extension, so you're the one with bad info due to limited personal experience.
