Hey guys,
I've used an MFLB for a solid year and never had issues. I love it but was just looking for something new as I've heard there's a lot better ones and I wanted to experience the differences.

I purchased an Extreme Q thinking it would work better for me, but after a week or so now, I'm not the biggest fan. That's not to say it doesn't work well. There's a learning curve for the EQ and I still haven't gotten very consistent with it. However, the one thing that doesnt work for me with the EQ is the heat up time. I hate waiting around and I'm a bit of a light weight so 2-3 hits will get me where I want to be and waiting that long to get it is some times a bummer. With the MFLB wait time is almost non existent.

So what I'm looking for is..
1. Low/No heat up time
2. Efficiency - I vape alone the most, and not very much at a time. I found that bud lasted a lot longer with my MFLB vs EQ.
3. Decent Battery Life - IF portable
4. Ease of Use
These are the 4 things I'm looking for in a vape. I'm open to portables or plug-in. A portable with a power adapter, I think, would work great, but if the vapor quality is that much better with a plug-in, then I'll go for that. After all, I still have my MFLB as a portable and very much enjoy it. If it is a portable, size is much of an issue.

I'm a noob when it comes to all this, but I'm also an athlete. Looking for something that's not too harsh on my throat. MFLB and EQ work just fine..

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Firewood seems to be "catching fire" around here as what the MFLB should've been.

Better in what way? Of your numbers 1-4, ease of use is the one that you can definitely beat with another model, as well as battery life, although having spare charged bats for the LB solves that.

An AC powered vape will be easier to meet your needs, unless you really do want another portable. You won't get 'no heat up time' with any vape unless you leave it on, and the LB really can't be beat for fast heat up. What's decent battery time to you? You do have to deal with the battery technology that we currently have, and some people aren't realistic.

Efficiency can be achieved with most models, but the ones with bigger bowls and designed for bigger hits won't be both efficient and satisfying. When I want smaller, dosing type hits, I use a vape that normally (without turbocharging it with water filtration) provides smallish hits. I can load a very small amount in my VapeXhale Cloud (big hitter) and achieve high efficiency, but it's a pain in the ass and I can't tell I've even taken a hit until I feel the effect- not a satisfying experience.

not too harsh on my throat
If the LB is OK with you in this respect, I don't think it'll be an issue. The user can adjust this with draw speed and adding distance between your mouth and the vape-tubing, etc.

If I were you the first thing I'd do is cross off requirement #1. If you start there (assuming you want vaping temp really fast), you eliminate most of the models that'll do the best job of meeting your other requirements.

I'd say go big.
Go for a SSV or the cheaper little brother DBV!
7th Floor makes awesome products.
I love my SSV! So many accessory options too so you never get bored! HA!
Check it out for sure.

The MFLB is good to have in your quiver for those fast rips.
The SOLO with a POWER ADAPTER should be your next FLOWER VAPE.
Their Cheap and a no brainer!
Glass stems.
Not as fast as a MFLB however more Delicious!

Keep your MFLB just add as you go!

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
I suggest LSV FTW. Very fast heatup time and can even be left on at low for even faster response. extremely easy to use. It can be conservative if you can was one of the comments I received before I bought mine and it is true.

7th floor product may be awesome, but his dislikes would apply here too. I think a 24/7 running log vape would meet these requirements much better than a huge desktop. Or a VXC/Nimbus on the high-end.
Another very good option imo is just to get a Power Adapter for the MFLB, it is a game-changer.
Still a MFLB, but freed of the restriction of battery power and therefore running on its full potential. It also feels like the heat itself is somehow magically better and more consistent.
As a portable it seems to me, the MFLB still fits you ery well and wouldn't need an upgrade. It does exactly what you want, just a little roughly imo.

The EQ heat up time is amazing! When you pre-heat turn your fan on any speed while it pre heats. I go from off to to ready to vape in 2-3 mins. I thought it sounded like BS but after trying it I'll say it works well. Maybe check out the ZenPen it's not even for sell yet but end of next month

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll definitely look into the Arizer Solo as it seems to be a very popular choice. The firewood definitely looks interesting too.

I'm going to vote for the solo like many of you guys.
I just recently got it end of may this year and have been using it a bit. I love it!!

Honestly I think solo meets all your requirement if you add the av power adapter.

I can attest to all the rave about the solo are true.
The few quibble I have with it are the battery life... Advertised to last up to 2-3 hrs. For me it lasts about 7 sessions at setting 3-4. But I always turn it off before the auto shutoff.

Other than that, its an awesome option.
If i had to pick solos weakest point, it's the stealth factor... The pax is definitely the clearly the winner here.

Good luck!

I'm going to have to +1 the solo as well. It was my second portable after the MFLB, but I was chasing clouds(bigger hits), but I feel it meets all your needs except the heat up time. My solo is ready in about 2 minutes.
