Upgrade from magic flight launch box

Hello,

I've been happily smoking from the magic flight launch box for 3 years now, I also own an Arizer extreme q. The big one is the best, of course, but it's not really mobile.
The problem that I'm facing with the MFLB atm is that I keep having to change the battery and put it in the charger. I already bought a load of powerex 2700mah batteries and an expensive charger that has break in mode, refresh analyze, variable load settings, etc.
I am looking for a vaporizer for weed where I don't have to change the battery every 2 hours. I would like to be able to smoke for a day , or 2, then change the battery and hang the empty one on the charger. Or buy two vaporizers for when one is empty.
I saw an ad for the cloupor here in the Netherlands, but they also use an AA battery. Doesn't that give me the same problem that I'm already facing now?
I also saw some vids on youtube where I saw big clouds being created. Can you still call that vape? My Arizer is set on 180 degrees celcius and I never have such clouds and I vape all the necessary substances from some weed that I want.

I don't think this is the right place to post your question at all, but...

There are plenty of portable vaporizers with plenty of battery life now, and better replaceable batteries too. Look into the Firefly, Haze, Indica, FlowerMate, Inhalater, Elevape, Imag. All recently released well-received portables that should easily last you a day without recharging

I agree, the 'ask FC' thread seems more appropriate and would get a wider audience there?

That said, if the OP likes his Extreme Q (which it seems he does) the Solo is an obvious suggestion. Same maker, can be counted on for 6 or 8 (depending on technique) sessions per charge, includes an accurate battery meter function to help plan recharges and is extremely well liked. There are over 30 Thousand posts on that thread, nearly all happy campers. That's no accident IMO.

Flowermate for lowest price and highest battery capacity. Get one and if you like it then get a second so you always have a charged one ready to go.

for an all day battery operated portable solution I think the solo fits the bill the best. it's still my go to portable when i need a vape that I can't plug in anywhere. it lasts me all day too and i consider myself a fairly high dosage user.

that said. if i am just going to a friends house then these days i bring my daisy with me! it's not ideal for using in public, but if stealth isn't an issue then this would also last you all day. it butane powered though. just so you know. it's a friggin beast! out performs all my other vapes. it blows my mind something this cheap works so well!

if you really liked the mflb's method then the firefly may be a good option to consider. personally the batteries are bitch though. i own 3 batteries. and that only gets me 5-8 bowls out of it... so that kind sucks imo. you have to lug a bunch of batteries with ya if you go this way. on the + side they do recharge pretty quick.

Dose it have to be battery powered
For me batterys cant keep up for all day vaping
When stealth is an issue then batterys are the way to go
For allday vaping a few torch lighters and a vapman and im good to go allday

And viola! This thread is now in "Ask FC"!

:peace:

Thanks man :D

Stealth is not really an issue. I usually only smoke where you're allowed to smoke. But, it's a nice thing if it is stealthy though.
Battery life is a bit the biggest criterium I'm looking for, next to a very good vape. I also count in the fact that I can buy a USB battery to have an emergency charge with me.

I don't like those lighter options. I used a pipe before and also the vapo bowl on top of a bong or pipe and a storm lighter. I don't like the taste of it as you get it easily burned. I absolutely don't want to inhale smoke, only vape :D
I'm also looking for an option to take with me to festivals that last 3 days for instance.

Right, done some checking up on those vaporizers listed above.

The firefly lasts 2 hours 40 minutes, but has interchangeable batteries. No temp regulations. Costly for no temp regulations. 200 euros for the firefly, 50 bucks for an extra battery.

Can't seem to find the Haze for sell in the Netherlands.
Same with the Indica.

Flowermate is 109 euros. No interchangeable batteries. Battery lasts 2 hours.

Inhalatar, doesn't really apeal to me.

Elevape WOAH, almost 400 bucks :|

Arizer solo , bout 190 euros, saw it somewhere for 170 I think remembering. Battery lasts 4 hours. No interchangeable battery. Can't use while charging and needs to be charged on socket power? Charging lasts 4 hours :S

This leaves me a bit in doubt.
Those battery hours posted, do they mean 2 hours and 40 minutes of constant vaping? So, in fact , the thing will last you a lot more hours because you won't be continuously lurking it?

Tbh, anything around 2 hours doesn't really sound like an upgrade from the MFLB. With the MLB, I bring a load of batteries with me, and per battery I last about 2 or 3 loads, which I lurk in a good few hours. 2 or 3 loads , easily smoking, lasts me about 4 hours. Depending on all the variable conditions I get better stats out of my 2700mah batteries then almost all those vaporizers above. If I'm correct and those times aren't set on continuously being able to lurk it for 2 hours 40 minutes or even 4 hours with the solo.
So far, only the Solo seems to cut it with 3 to 4 hours vape time, but, it takes a long time to load, need a socket to load it and you can't use it while charging.

So the firefly would be the only contestant here for me. But that thing is expensive for a lack of functions. I want insurance against combustion tbh. Some form of temperature control would be nice.

It all doesn't really feel like mobile vaping in these units is all that. You know those batteries in those vaporizers are gonna die if you use and charge it enough. So, having an expensive vaporizer with an unchangeable battery sounds even more expensive.

Am I missing something?

I was hoping for a not too costly upgrade. But, if a real good upgrade, a couple of hundred euros wouldn't be a problem if that'd get me the possibility of vaping for a good few hours, almost a day, then switching the battery. Switching a battery doesn't come with a lot of vaporizers. Getting two vaporizers is costly and even that has issues with getting you to last a day.

I would then be looking for something next to my MLB. Doesn't really seem worth spending money on something that will do it less good then the MLB :S

Anyway, here are some dutch sites where I'd probably be looking at buying a vaporizer through:

I don't believe the firefly batteries last 2 hours and 40 minutes but closer to a mflb battery maybe 2 1/2 bowls per battery per charge.

The solo will do 7-8 twelve minute sessions per charge and they do now work while charging. The batteries will last through hundreds if not more charges, just like any other battery. But you can buy the battery packs to replace them yourself.

The torch powered options people mentioned are actually great vaporizers and nothing like what i believe you are thinking of.

Hmm, might have another look at the torch vaporizers then. Thing is that I've had those vaporbowls and had to use a torch as well. Those torches aren't realy reliable either imo. Filling em can be a hassle on some and they tend to break. Then I had a few that didn't break, but you couldn't get em properly filled and they kept ranning out of fuel real quick.
I'd be most interrested in the Daisy but I can't get that over here in the Netherlands.
The vapman I can get for 70 euros. Seems like a hassle filling it tbh though.
I already have the MFLB though, so I could be looking at a nice vaporizer next to that... I'd rather have a one go to solution.

About those hours on those other vaporizers, how do those continuous hours translate to actual vaping? As in how long can you do with it if you're just toking normally :D LoL, that's different for everyone, but hey , gimme an estimate :D Like " Heavy stoner, bout a whole day with the solo " :D
Does anyone have experience with the alivi8?

Right, think I've figured out what to do.

I'm gonna buy the flowermate. The thing has 2 18650 batteries in it that ppl keep speaking about, will last about 2 hours something. So, that way, for not a shit load of money, I can experience another vape that works on batteries. If I find it's too short of a life time , with no possibility to change the batteries, I could see if it'd be worth it to me to find another vaporizer that runs on 18650s that you can change out.

I'd probably be trying a torch vape as well. Probably the Alivi 8 v2. The vapman could also be a contester, but it seems much more of a hassle to load it. Anyway, that's what I'm thinking of doing now.

Found another contestant, the flashvape, also with interchangeable batteries.

I just wish the Haze and the Daisy would be available in the Netherlands :(

The flashvape apparently runs too hot.

By the looks of it, the flowermate for that price range offers limited heat control, if you want to spend double, buy the arizer solo (improved)
Otherwise, torch vaporizers.
Gonna ponder a bit :D

The Flashvape is cool If you only do a couple of sessions a day otherwise You would need to carry as many or more batteries with you then with the MFLB, I find they take 6-8 hours to charge and only do a bowl or two each. I would stay away from the Alivi8 v2 also and go with either a vaporgenie or vapman instead for the price since the alivi8 is actually a vaporgenie ripoff whos filter is made of questionable material. I've never seen a really positive review of the Alivi8, except by shops/people selling it.

I believe the Vapman Basic gives the biggest Bang for the cost, you Can't beat it in my opinion.

K, scrapping the flashvape then though, cuz I already have something that works wonderfully with only downfall is having to bring a load of batteries if you go on a weekend camping trip or to a festival :D

The vaporgenie, hmm, ceramic filter, I had the vapo bowl ceramic, which had the ceramic break really easily, crumbling to nothingness, didn't like that.

Might have to try the vapman then. It just seems like a lot of hassle and not really something you'd be easily doing while standing dancing at a festival :D Chilling on the grass with grass of at your mates, it seems like less of a problem, but still a hassle to load by the looks of it. But apparently with this many ppl saying that's the best bang for your buck when it comes down to torch vapin, should just accept the downsides of it. Can't have everything :D

In no way dose the vapman compere to the vapobowl other then they both use a torch
I have both and I like the vapobowl and works well but the lighter is in the air path which alltho I can't taste it and don't fell its any harm is something I wanted to avoid
But the vapman i love is fucking amazing and a beautiful piece of art its a lot easyer too use as well I have not managed to bearn a load in my vapman and I have heated the bowl all longer then needed to try
The vapman is rather easy to load as it comes with a ring that spots herb falling out the bowl

I have a few vapes some get used some like the vapobowl do not get used any more the vapman is hear to stay its taken over the going to a mates house vape from my solo

IMO the vapman is one of the best bang for buck if not the best bang for buck vape full stop

EDIT I think my vapo bowl and your one may be different my one was glass and steel only

My VG has a ceramic filter and that's not braking with normal use the VG is solid imo
