What I found to help up-regulation, is this. You wake up, and do a small time of cardio for like 6-10 minutes to get your body going for the day. Make sure you are sweating. I like going fast for 15 seconds, every minutes for six minutes, this allows me to get more of a workout then if I were to just run the same for the whole six minutes.
Then, you you a whole meal that contains protein, fat, and carbs. Then just puff all day, but not gigantic puffs, you want nice small consistent puffs that keep you feeling nice but not knocked out. Then when it is getting close to the evening, you do a resistance training routine, but not a lengthy one, you just want to activate your muscles more then they normally are. I just do 2 sets of 5 reps, but I increase the weight every time I do a new session on a different day for whatever body part I'm working on that day. You then eat a meal containing mostly carbohydrates, with a little fat, and protein to replace the glycogen, and some protein/fat, you lost during your workout.
What this does is allow your body metabolize the cannabis effectively since your are constantly taking in small amounts instead of one big hit all at once, and when you do resistance training, you are training your body to hold on to the substances you used before doing the resistance training very effectively. This will ultimately lead to up-regulation of cannabinoids. When you have too much substances come into your system at once, and the body isn't able to process all of them, down-regulation occurs. The cardio also helps because, it down-regulates your fat storing capabilities, which means less cannabinoids being sucked up by your fat cells, and more going to the parts that are more active, which means more of a high. Make sure you get good sleep, because that is when the body decides if it needs to up or down-regulate.
This technique may seem hard at first, but you will get used to it. It will have you be able to enjoy small amounts, but you can puff all day, and get more blazed then someone who is used to taking big hits because it will keep getting stronger as you inhale throughout your day due to having so many receptors being able to be filled, processed, and holding onto the cannabinoids much longer then usual due to the resistance training.
