I wish I was a baller...oh wait...

I'll confess, wireless quartz is so good, I haven't tried other settings, but I will! The modularity of this thing is insane.

Bowl handle could be longer as reported. For me, the handle makes an o-ring needed for a recessed joint on a hammer bub. A screen bowl might be nice, but dang you gotta love the flavor! Currently cloudy at 555.

As mentioned, the packaging and accessories are awesome. I appreciate that the PID has a rocker switch on the front, and the set-top is perfect to hold everything. Beautiful job!

Thanks @TerpChasersClub!!!

I went ahead and created a new page to demonstrate some of the upsides of the Universal Baller!

We're in the end stages of this first pre-order! The plan is to start manufacturing on Feb10, and there are limited slots left so don't hesitate!

I also included some pictures to show the four different ball heads that it can function as:

Awesome it looks really good 😊

I scored a Universal Baller recently and thought I'd share my experience using it wireless.

When I first tried it the flavor was extraordinary using the quartz. However, I encountered some resistance when using the fritted disc, and I was not getting the full hit that I was looking for. I did need to increase my temperatures up about 40 degrees more than what I usually use. I wanted it to hit more freely so I tried using the metal screen in place of the fritted disc. It seemed like something was not quite right. So I reached out to TCC here on FC. He advised me to make some changes in how I had it put together. His advice was to flip the quartz and use all 3 of the metal screens on top as well as removing some of the balls so it would be about 95% full rather than totally maxed. This made a big difference and I was able to reduce the temps back down to my usual range. I got bigger hits with more flavor. Then when I used it without the quartz and all of the balls, it worked really well. I just wanted to get it to work better using the quartz. TCC hooked me up with a quartz screen to use instead of the fritted disc. I think they will run about $30 when fully available.

I also got lucky and scored the wood handled bowl that is currently on pre-order. This is a really cool bowl, no gaskets, I really like that.

This made a big difference for me.

This bowl looks like it was meat to be heated. I tried heating it in one of my coils.

I then went back and tried using it with all quartz with the high flow quartz screen. WOW, the flavor and size of the hit was intense! Definitely the most tasty vape session I have had. Don't need to heat the bowl up much. You can even use a torch if you don't have an additional heater coil.
I have been setting my second heater at around 275F and leave the bowl in it until ready to fill and take a hit. There is no need to reheat the bowl for a second or third hit. It stays warm enough and after the first hit, it dries the flower enough to vape real easy.

It is almost like having 4 vaporizers in 1. I really love how versatile it is. A big shout out to TCC for walking me through my difficulties, and for his generosity. I would also like to thank FC for having this site to where we can communicate with other vaporists and the designers as well.

Now tonight, I am going to go back and try it full quartz with the fritted disc and see how it goes.

It is meant to be heated. It's mentioned in the product description:

"Hybrid bowl for the Universal Baller. Comes with 18mm joint glass bowl. This hybrid bowl retains the all glass airpath, and is designed to be pre-heated by a 25m or 22mm enail coil."

JT-Shawk,
Is the hybrid bowl only available in stainless steel? I saw Troy and Jerry reviewing it and it looks like it’s a tighter fit than the glass bowl which is nice. I’d prefer titanium but since it’s an all glass air path it doesn’t really matter beyond aesthetics and weight. I’m allergic to the nickel found in stainless steel alloys but that’s not an issue here as far as I can tell.

Replying to myself just to say I went ahead and ordered the hybrid bowl. Perfection is the enemy of progress as they say. Even tho not Ti I can tell it will work really well and be a lot of fun to use all the same. 🙌🏻

..there’s a wooden handle for the wireless..the wired uses the coil as the included handle…it doesn’t get hot or present any hazard with normal operation.

I also have a small globe from Simrell and a Klein recycler plus a Freeze Pipe. I know the Freeze Pipe is 18mm , I believe the Klein and the globe is 14mm . Does the Universal Baller come with an adapter for them or will I have purchase one separately and what kind would that be? Thanks

I have not tried it but I feel like the wireless handle would work as a handle in wired mode as well with no issues I can see.

There are a few 3rd party wire handles out there tho that could be purchased separately

You would need a glass 14mm male - 18mm female adapter. They can be found for very cheap on Aliexpress. Some local head shops that sell bongs may have them as well for a little more money.

…yeah, you could put the handle on the wired coil…personally I’m not a fan of this look, but there’s no law against it….yet.

I have read some users that the stand does not hold the corded ball vape in a safe position. I believe this my last concern about this Ball Vape. I hope someone can answer this. Thanks

If the stand it not situated on top of the PID it looks great and sits safely and securely

When it is on top of a PID it’s a bit wonky but I still can’t see it being unsafe personally. I use the cheap stand to the right of it tho so the UB stand is still available for other wireless ballers.

The stand has a safe wired mode shown in video on the website. It is not ideal, so we are working to recreate the stand, but that's the best solution using the stand for the time being. It may be quite some time before any changes can be made. This looks like having the wireless handle opposite of the cord on the coil with the wired adapter attached and coil secured. You can then rest it in the notch for the coil mount.

Hello UB frients and @TerpChasersClub

I just want to inquire about the lead time on the hybrid bowls. It doesn’t mention any on the website.

Thanks!

Everything is cleared through customs and en route here via UPS. The estimation is for Tuesday, but that is of course subject to change.
