I'm a bit of an anglophile to begin with, but I always enjoyed British bands beyond The Cure, Depeche Mode and the Smith's. Bands like Blur, Pulp and Stone Roses. Everyone else I knew, not so much.
As an aside, Damon Abarn lead singer of Blur also does the vocals for another little band called Gorillaz.
