I have the 1st 2 units (apart from my 2 units) of the FC E-Nail for sale. (only 1 left)
This project is something I've been working on for a few years, and is finally ready for release. These are the 1st 2 units, serial #'s 0001 and 0002 (engraved in the bottom).
The enclosures are made of oak cut down by me here in Ontario, which I have milled and created the box-joint enclosures. These enclosures can still be separated (there are 8 screws) for service and access to the inside (just-in-case). The software that this runs on, has been in use for over 2 years (the new version with all the enhancements and refinements for 2 months), and has hundreds of hours of development effort into it.
The unique, custom scripting functionality, that allows one to create custom up or down temp scripts (or anything you can imagine), complete with sounds, delays, text feedback in the app or on the on-device display, etc. is a feature that nothing else on the market has. It functions amazingly well and is extremely versatile. Leveraging the accuracy of the Omron PID really enhances this.
There is also the ability to create and save custom "profiles" for each of your different devices (coils and setups), so you can have different PID settings and offsets according to coil/device. You can easily create new optimal PID settings by launching the "auto-tune" from the device interface or the app, which then stores your settings in the profile. You can also set an offset. (for example, my 30mm 710 coils w/ ruby requires a 40F offset for accurate floor temp, and my 25mm coil is only an 11F offset).
Updates are automatically pushed down, once tested and released, at 4am daily (assuming your device is online and connected to the Internet).
You can access all features of your device remotely through the web UI/app, either over your local network or over HTTPS by setting a localtunnel.me hostname (from the device interface or app). The way this is setup you get full access without needing to configure anything on your network or having a dependency on me and me having to host a server accordingly. As well, if the device does not connect to a WiFi network, it will advertise as a Hotspot, so you can connect to it directly over WiFi with your phone, tablet, or computer.
I'm asking for $450 USD + shipping for each device. This price will likely go up in the future as there is a huge amount of work in each device, and over a couple hundred dollars in parts. Unless I can significantly reduce the build time (ie. to about 10% or less of what it took me to build these).
I can send more pictures of each unit on-request.
I hope everyone loves these E-Nails as much as I do!!!! Here's some pictures of the E-Nails, as well as a few of the app:
