Total Newb. Can I use ice in this bong?

Here is a pic of what this thing looks like. Reviews are decent, but nobody has said anything about ice in it. Want to get as smooth of a hit as possible because my wife is really picky. Will this thing take ice?

The piece lacks an "ice pinch". The chunks of ice will smack right into the turbine perk, which could be a bad thing.
I think between the honey comb and turbine perk the vapor should be more than cool enough.
Besides, the ice will mess up your water level as it melts away making it kind of "a pain in the balls" to use.

As long as you're using the ice to cool down smoke from combusting a hit, yeah. You don't want to use ice while taking a dab, because the oil will condense. This is why many oil rigs lack ice catchers.
The piece you posted the picture of is mainly used for dabbing oil. Yes theres an attachment to smoke a bowl, but typically you want something with a little more air volume to cool down the hit.

Crapballs. I have no interest in dabs. Just straight dry herb. Ordered tgis on a hell of a deal. It's an 11 incher. Should I cancel order or should I still be good?
I just cancelled the order. I have no interest in dabs or oils. Now to find a nice hitter (dry herb bong) for no more than 60-70 on DH gate.

Here are some good ones that include the ice-catchers/ice-pinchers you're looking for. Since your post says your wife is looking for the smoothest hit, I made sure everything here has at least two percolators. Having at least two helps break down a lot of tar in the smoke.

Yes, that's also a good bong. I like the splashguard it comes with to prevent water going up your mouth.
Your bong has a 18mm female joint, so it will take bowls that have a 18mm male joint. There is already a bowl included with the bong. It has a 18mm male joint.
When it comes to bongs, theres usually 2 standard sizes: 14mm and 18mm. Make sure if you buy any future accessories that they will fit into a 18mm female joint. (So they will have to be male)

Yes, just make sure your ashcatcher is 18mm. You'll also want one with a 90 degree male joint. Don't get the 45 degree ones or the water level will be thrown off in the ashcatcher. These work:

I would also recommend getting a different bowl from the one that will come with your bong. The one that comes with your bong only has one hole in the bottom, which I don't like because it can get clogged with resin/tar easily. I would spend a few bucks more and get a bowl with a few more holes so the airflow will be better and you won't find yourself having to clear a clogged bowl often.

I ended up passing on the ash catcher. My wife and I only smoke about four times a month so I will just clean out the bong when necessary, plus I thought it might add to make the drag a little harder.

FYI, vapor starts out about 600 degrees F less than smoking/smoke (400 vs 1000 F) so it is much cooler BUT it is very very dry. Try experimenting with warm/hot water in your bubbler as it adds much needed moisture.
Cold water doesn't moisturize nearly as much.
what do people with lung problems sometimes use? A vaporizer.
And what is that vaporizer vapor? Warm moist air.
I never use cold water. Sometimes room temp water when I'm lazy, When I want the smoothest and best vape for my throat and lungs----warm or hot water.

Sorry. Wasn't real clear. We only vape about four times a month. Basically once every weekend.
I have a flowermate mini. My first and only vape. I dunno. I just don't get the feeling I get from a joint or bong. Not even close. It's like a slow crawl to get there with the vape. So far not impressed so wanted to go bong since supposedly it is still a little cleaner than straight joint with the water cleaning up some of the impurities.

If you are only vaping @str1pes then you may want a smaller volume bong & you definitely want to cancel the bowl order as you will have no requirement for a smoking bowl. You could get a lot of very nice vapour bongs & bubblers for the money paid for that combustion piece & may still be able to amend the order 
Are you using the FM waterpipe adapter? If so you can pick any 14/18mm as it works with male & female joints. I don't use ice with vapes but hot water can help quite a bit with moisturising the hit & if you are only vaping once a week I suggest using hot water as it is unlikely you will be sessioning for hours.

I hate to sound like a complete idiot, but I am. I just don't feel like I'm getting the clouds I want or the high I want with my vaporizer. I have just been using the flowermate straight out of the box. I'm a dummy about this but dont get how hooking up my fm to something else is going to.make the high better?
That's why I was deciding to keep my vape for under wraps things like going to a concert or movie theater. Then I would use the old school bong I ordered for a home piece that never leaves the house and hopefully shoots me to the moon when i have the urge. Let me know if this makes sense. If not it is because I really am a newb,

So you smoke bowls more frequently & also vape once a week? If so it will be hard to embrace vaping as it is different from combusting. I combusted for 20+ years & will never combust cannabis again as it serves no purpose now I can see the light.
If that is the case being a daily bong ripper I suggest looking into a cheap convection desktop vape in the Arizer EQ or the 7th floor family (SSV, DBV, LSV). If you are a daily smoker you will see the cost of the machine absorbed by the savings very quickly.
If it is lungbusting bong rips you are after you will be disappointed in the Flowermate. I thought you were vaping once a week so a FM would be perfect for a little bubbler rip. For a seasoned vet it will not satisfy except as a discreet portable for when out & about. However it will backup a good desktop so you don't need to combust. If you require evidence of cloudage just check out this thread

Just to make this clear. I typically only smoke in general once a week. I purchased the vape because i got a really good deal and heard good things. I've actually never owned a bong and to be honest haven't hit one since I was in my early twenties (I'm 35). I bought the vape because Im a cheap bastard and tried to save on the weed i cone across. When i tried vaping it just doesn't give me that major head rush that I remembered geting from a bong hit.
I know that vaping is probably way cleaner for your lungs. Bit since I'm not an every day user I thought that when i do hit once a week I might as well feel it and got on the lookout for a bong. If you say the flowermate hooked up to something will do the trick and also save my lungs and weed im all for it. Always looking to.save a dime. If so, what do you suggest?
*Just checked my order and the bong already shipped so i can't cancel now. Suck.

If you are not a frequent user & are getting reasonable quality weed then one full chamber in a FM on the medium temp should get you pretty well lit within 15 minutes. Forget about huge headrushes with a vape as it is a more cerebral high but if you want that head pounding them combust away. Also check out the Flowermate thread & read the last 20-30 pages to get the most out of your device.

I recently saw an ice cube tray that makes ice designed for rigs and bongs. I can't find the link but try a quick google search. it was a silicone ice tray for bongs.
Any small rod like cube is going to work. Unfortunately most fridges produce ice that is too large.

I have a mini and it doesn't produce the vapor or clouds that my other vapes do. I almost never use it. Before you give up on vaporizers, you might try the dynavap for $30. It uses butane and would be more like what you're used to.

I know you say you don't want to spend money but you should really look at the VapeXhale Cloud Evo. It's a bong vaporizer. It's amazing. For sure. My favorite. Been smoking bongs forever and since I got my cloud in 2012 I haven't looked back.
