Okay I will have a think. I kind of like the smaller profile of the regular mp. It doesn't look so much like a sex toy.
They both fit 14mm glass too so imagine it comes down to aesthetics.

Thank you for reinforcing what I unfortunately suspected. I had been fantasizing that someone who knows more than I do about this situation would say, “no, devices like these would be exempt…”. Alas!Considering the complete lack of consistency and reliability in US policy recently, trying to work that one out with any view into the near future is probably tougher than picking the lottery numbers, and I suspect not worth bothering - i.e. it'll be what it'll be come the time.

I don’t want to out myself but I just looked at my receipt and in addition to the two codes I never got charged the extra $10 for going with the 420 version

I am wondering how it hits back to back? Is the cool down long for the click to start a new bowl?
I have huge tolerance and that’s how I roll lol I like the speed of butane TEDs for bong rips they rule!

I have a Hyperdyn with thc cap and that thing riiiips (cools fast too) but this Tornado looks to be something different.

Anyone know a good place to get a nice wooden heat shield for the Vestratto stem? I was after a silver mist tornado but ended up with a carbon one so that will need replacing. Most of the wooden ones I’ve found are out of stock. Open to commissioning one too. Cheers.

If you’re planning to hit it native the XL MP is great. Personally the difference in cooling is noticeable. I also find the stem with stock MP is a bit cramped feeling, and I feel much more likely to grab closer to the hot end than I do with XL MP.
It also makes the overall weight balance a lot more even - without the XL MP the whole setup is kind of tip heavy.
It’s just nicer ergonomics for native use with a touch of extra cooling IMO. Well worth having, and you can pick up a stock MP off Azzwood for bong use fairly cheap. On some 14mm pieces the XL will bottom out before it can make a full seal, the stock does not have this issue.

Thanks. Yeah I think you have a point. Hopefully can get them to change. If not will pick up an XL mp separately as it's probably not the end of the world to have both.

Well I'm no expert beyond having just ordered a Tornado from the UK, and the fact I read the news! So take with pinch of salt, but I've never heard of any dispensation toward something like vapes, especially with the variable legality from country to country, even state to state in the US.

Huzzaa! It's arrived, and most unlike my usual run of luck, a day early!
And it's ...
... yeah! Not like anything I've tried before, from TM2's and desktop baller's to BFG's and Tempest's. This is a different quality of high beyond the 'normal' ball-vape type effects. Can't comment on taste and smell, I don't have much to speak of, but the vapour is different (of course it is!) and the high even more so.
First effort with a Wand didn't connect, ended up getting up to speed with a torch, but that first hit was phenomenal, with a promise of better as I practice (and I'm sure, a few duff efforts), but to get that good a first effort with no instructions and no practice is pretty impressive for such a high-end device.
Sadly the Scruffy adapter didn't work well on my revolve2's, the revolve's inner spiral is 1 to 2 mm's too long, but it works a treat on a Tempest stem.
Ok, I'm sold, this is genuine new level (in terms of a workable kit, the kettle+'path and sublimator weren't my kind of game).
Exciting sessions ahead and friends mind's to be blown!
Oh, and the avb was barely half roasted compared to how I normally do it. Impressive stuff indeed!

Exactly. Such a pity that there isn't a dedicated tornado utility case with a cap in which the Tornado can fit.
I got these cigar storage tubes on Amazon, cheap and very solid and well made. I still carry my Vestratto case because it’s a great handle with a magnet on the end.

I do the same. I have a rather posh cigar case that I "inherited" and it holds the tornado, my wrench and the little poker thingie I use to clean out the bowl. And the vestratto case as a handle, and I use that also as a stash

I have one of these that I use for my extra long Dynavap with pinner mouthpiece. You can put a little foam at one end to stop the device rattling around.
When I see it though I can help thinking of the novel Papillon and what is referred to as a charger. Or as it's known here in the UK - "a prison wallet".
FWIW, Vestratto order numbers are in the 5000s now. I ordered my Tornado on March 11 and my stem on April 20. My orders are 259 orders apart.

Quite amazing, that there is still Innovation, even in the butane metal world of vapes. I for one will be selling my anvil afterwards, it served me well for 3 years.
I don’t get why people sell (unless money is needed). These things are the size of pens and you never know when you might need it again (or just a keepsake).
I consider myself to be a collector when it comes to dhvs so the idea of getting rid of my anvil is crazy. I have a tornado as well and Iove it.
