Could someone with the tornado and stem adapter give me the length measurement please? Like how much it comes out from the bottom of the stem when everything is connected up.

I’m currently buying the pieces for my tornado build and trying to estimate the total length of the setup so I can purchase a leather case.

Cheers!

The stem adaptors extend 14.5mm from the stem, 8.5mm of this inserts inside the Tornado leaving 6mm exposed between stem and Tornado.

Thank you!

Now if any kind Tornado owners can give me the length of the Tornado without the WPA I should be able to work out what size leather case to purchase. Got the length of the stem and now the adapter, so that’s the only piece left to size up

What are you going with for your stem choice?

Any chance the heat lock/rattling will be fixed?
I don’t think so. Due to its widespread copper filling the Tornado expands like crazy, this won’t change. A thin o-ring would help, but this would need a rubber material that resists 1.300C, as this is the temperature of the torch flame. Does such stuff exist? I know high temperature silicone sealant can withstand 1.500C.

Anyone prefer course grind? And does it open airflow a noticeable amount?

Are people still getting nice clouds when they go for lower temps?

Mine doesn't rattle anymore, once the disks are seasoned I bet they curl up and fill the chamber better, but not sure.

The only time I ever heat locked mine was with torch use. I haven't heat locked mine once yet with the forge, but I do back it off very little from completely tight before heating. Not sure what could be the reason there.

Happy hump day everyone💨

Beautiful!

How well does it function? Are those native hits still cool enough?

I find the first hit to be smooth and cool with heat building and noticeable on subsequent hits but that was expected. Completely doable and doesn't irritate my throat or lungs.

I still prefer, at home at least, to use the Tornado dry with my Orb Mini from @VGOODIEZ with a whip.

Ah, I want to be able to use it with a torch. Does the Anvil have the same issues?

I like it a little on the coarser side for these, It does noticeably affect airflow. And yes, nice juicy clouds at low temp. Tastes fire every time

It's not an issue if you follow the directions, it's just the way they're designed. Any metal parts that screw together can heat lock if you screw them tight before heating them. I've never heat locked my Anvil or Tornado with any heating method.

Just make sure to back off a little from screwing it down tight. I torch the tornado all the time. No problem if you are a little mindful.
I heard this mentioned but doesn't this cause the rattling or is it unrelated?

Snagged one. Shipping to UK was a bit brutal at 35 dollars.
Looks like to my address that's only a few hours from the Canadian border is $30. So you did not get as screwed as others, I suppose. Maybe it's the Canadian postal strike?

Shame blackfriday code excluded UK.
I could not see a black Friday code anywhere, but I also no longer subscribe to their emails. I've seen the posts on Instagram but didn't see a code mentioned.

Ahh so we are all paying that much. Must be a Canadian post thing. It better be tracked and insured for that price.

I can't see it now, but it said black Friday free shipping code "freeshipping" accross the top of the website.
