Tornado by Vestratto

I recall some people in this thread who have a Tornado and a Tempest. Would any of you be so kind as to tell me how they compare with airflow/restriction? Using both in WPA mode?

You can PM me, as it will be off topic for this thread. I have a jaw disorder, so I can't use vapes that have too much restriction. So any feedback would be really appreciated.
Airflow rank on WPA: tempest > anvil > tornado

Add that to your growing list of why you shouldn’t get it 😉

Mate, I've been in this thread since page 1. It's pretty obvious I want it. Vapes aren't football teams

EDIT. I appreciate the info anyway.

Anyone else beyond disappointed with the communication pr lack there of in failing to meet the promised deadline in their own marketing material. Place my order and still no tracking t days into the next month.
Also beyond abysmal answer rate with emails.

Not sure when you ordered, but it’s kind of hidden that the order is for an estimated 4-6 weeks fulfillment. I ordered 26SEP and still don’t have shipping.

Not disagreeing, V routinely struggles with communication and fulfillment, just making sure you aren’t expecting shipping for an order recently placed…

It's par for the course. People have stopped expecting good CS from Vestratto. Their products are very good though, so users just have to put up with it if they want in.

I say this throwing zero shade in any direction, but if you want prompt communication and customer service, you should wait until Sneaky Pete, Simrell, or another reputable retailer is stocking them. Vestratto is pretty amazing at developing some cutting-edge devices, but you're dealing with a small group of engineers that's laser-focused on breaking into the medical device market.

They’re sold out at the moment, but Simrell was carrying at least some Vestratto products.

I totally agree. Nothing but great service from Vestratto. They have been great to work with and I couldn't be happier with the Anvil and soon to be Tornado. I think people get a little "edgy" once they give someone money for said product and expect immediate results/responses. It may take longer than one wants but ultimately everyone gets what they paid for. It's not like most people here don't have another method of getting high while they wait for the product they ordered.

I should point out that I've also only had positive experiences with Vestratto; I just wanted to contrast their value proposition (cutting-edge device development and the opportunity to be among the first to try them) vs. established retailers (CS, responsiveness, content generation for customer engagement, &c.). If the latter is super important to you, maybe hold back on a purchase until there are full production runs available through retailers; that way, you're dealing with the retailer (who likely has the equivalent of one or more FTEs in CS-type roles) rather than the developer for anything CS-related.

I have dealt with Vestratto's CS several times and have never had an issue.

However I am disappointed with no info on his thinking about making this device.
He gave us videos with Sneaky Pete and Whiff for the Anvil and Forge.

" Dear John"

Please write a blog or do a video for The Tornado!
PLEASE !

I've got a Forge that was a brick straight out of the box, so I've become cautious. Nothing but love for the devices though, but they shouldn't have gone into "unique never been done" electronics. That's a different ball game altogether and the Vestratto team could have realized that. I recognize the tunnel effect of a strong engineering vision. For me, it's become a mixed bag. On the other hand, also very interested to see where all this is going. But I think the Forge has been a mistake and that needs some acknowledgement perhaps.

I’m sorry you got the odd defective Forge. I love mine, quiet and problem free. In fact I haven’t been using my Tornado much because I would rather use the Forge than flame.

Hey Scruffy, when you have your adaptor I don't suppose you could try it out with the Tempest stem? I'm dying to know how they perform together. If it cools enough to be able to do one big DTL hit with full Tornado bowl. If so that would be quite a portable proposition.

I don't own a Tempest stem myself but the prototype adaptor has gone to @Duba for testing and I think they might have a Tempest stem they could try it with for you.

So what percentage are defective? Just because one or two people are very vocal about their bad units doesn’t mean everyone has a bad unit.
100%. Using the Tornado in any Forge that has not been fixed is risking bricking it. Yours may not have broken yet, but it suffers from the same design flaw.
