Topicals for pain: CBD vs THC vs CBD/THC?

Wha ratio of topical works best.
I previously only had access to CBD with trace THC and it works on pain.

Now have access to all THC or 50/50 combo.
How do these compare?

CBD absorbs better thru the skin …
The 50/50 mix seems like it might be great on pain.
What topical blend do you find best?

I haven’t compared them back to back and my issues are so variable it would be hard to compare them over a long period, plus when I have to use topicals I’m usually also taking some internally which changes the equation too. I think straight THC has helped me in the past though, and for quite a while now I’ve been using a 1:1 which I’m good with.

I’ve also noticed these topicals work well on mosquito bites for me. There though, I think the straight THC *might* have worked better? I’d have to compare them side by side…

Applied early it seemed to stop the swelling and itching from developing much, and applied later it would at least help to alleviate it.

That’s a tangent you may not need but I thought you might be interested in trying it sometime.

THC base worked wonders on my dog, it also makes an incredible burn cream.


I found comedogenic ratings interesting when researching topical preparations, this basically talks about how well the carrier oil can penetrate through pores, which seemed pinnacle to maximizing absorption.
