If you look down the tunnel where the glass goes in at you can see where the tube goes to looks like a direct hook up to the chamber you can see the small holes for the air path. The vent holes on top are just to vent heat from the chamber. And yes intake air for the air path is all from the glass cover . mrweed you said all the vapes you have from china its kind of funny I too ordered the vs3, the iv-1, and the x max 2 pro . Just wondering what you think of the x max I don't think I'll be useing it too much . Feels good solid and all but I'll try it after about 10 or so full battery burn ins.

not sure which version you have... the latest is the Xmax V2 Pro with Glass Mouthpiece and Watertool adaper. Do you have this one? I have much love for this company (as well as Herbstick) because so far these two are the only companys from china that actually seem to listen to feedback and start to fix problems right away. Basically we all have designed the Xmax ;) Somehow, we can see this as a FC project. It took them a while, but now I have no complaints any more. There is some smell coming from the units mouthpiece at first, but it doesn't taste bad. Same with the VC35.
Imho, the Xmax is a great vape for a low price and it can compete with western designed vapes. However, if you have some problems with it, just tell them about it. These guys are super helpful.
anyway, this is not the right place to talk about the Xmax ;)

Thanks guys! @mrweed @livewithkindness123 So what prevents herb from going down the tube from the bowl?

I think you can get these inside the US. http://vapenw.com/vs3-dry-herb-vaporizer has them for $61.00 shipped. I think the thread can come out of the candidate section. "Vapor Source - VS3" might be a better name.

An early comment says not to use alcohol on the red model because it can take the paint off.

There are very small inlet holes and I mean small I don't even think a sewing needle would go all the way in. And yes I was cleaning my bowl with alcohol and the red paint under the glass window started coming off so I stopped . Now I just clean with the cleaning brush that came with the unit.
Yes mrweed I got the glass tube with it . I have what says xmax v2 pro. The glass mouth piece was not in the main box but in a seperate little box . If that matters. Thank you about the info .

For those of you who have the VS3, how's the heat-up time? I see the ad copy promises "superfast heating circuitry," but what does that mean in terms of how many seconds it takes to get to temp? Also, how does it need to be filled? Does it require pretty tight packing in order to work, or can it be loaded with just a pinch (i.e., just one or two good hits' worth) and still extract vapor? Thanks!

The small holes for a screen: Are the all around the bowl? Are they at the base/top/middle?

The long glass tube, lid on the bowl, and usb charging are very cool features. The holes in the ceramic, plastic everything, and the mystery of how the glass connects to the bowls stop me from pulling the trigger.

I am curious how it holds up after a good amount of vaping.

Thanks again for the replies.

Yes it does have a fast heat up time . The holes are at the bottom side of the bowl . I've had mine for over 3 weeks and use it daily and it is holding up great I really like mine . If there was one thing I could change it would be the temps I think they are a little too high my fav temp for vapeing is 365 .

Yes it does have a fast heat up time

How fast is "fast," though? Are we talking FF/GH/LB-like near-instant vapor, or does "fast" mean more like thirty seconds?

Have you tried loading it in different ways? What I'm mainly interested in is a vape that offers near-instant vapor production (i.e., something like five seconds from firing it up to taking a hit) and can be loaded with only about a hit's worth of material. I suppose if the chamber is shallow enough, the VS3 could be loaded with a hit's worth with a screen placed over the top of the load to hold it in place so it'll be in contact with the ceramic (I'm assuming this vape is primarily, or maybe entirely, convection), but would like to hear others' experience with packing small loads in it before making my mind up about whether it's something I might be interested in.

More like 20 secs fast not instant . I had small amounts and it still works great with this design the chamber is like a oven. The draw from holes on the chamber are on the bottom side right by where the glass straw is .

I am still really enjoying the VS3 I also got a LV-1 and that thing is like to vapes what the iphone is too phones its awesome really great feel no smell has a water pipe included and adjustable temps . I believe if people knew about it and tried it it would become a very popular vape only paid $75 on alababa with shipping the retail they said should be $200 when it really comes out . I have a titan 1 that I used 3 times and the smell from it is so bad I took it apart just for the battery . I think I am over sensitive to that "new " smell even after burn in I just could not use it . With the VS3 I never had that smell at all .

Any ideas on bowl size and battery life? Very interesting! Was thinking a FF dhgate clone just for fun but this looks a bit morally superior haha.

Cheers! I prefer hot temps and wanted to give the firefly a go just because of the form factor. Could get a LB but I just know I'll hate it. Firefly price, size and 400f single fixed temp put me off. Seems this is cheaper smaller and hotter. For the price even if you got a couple months play that's good! Looks like it would make a good donation vape too.

If you can't tell I really love this vaporizer I was cleaning it today and decided to see how hard it would be to change the battery so I took some pictures of the inside .

You can see the air path is totally isolated . Where the glass air stem connects to the chamber there is a metal tube that it slides into which protects it from breaking if dropped . I'm even more impressed with the unit now seeing the inside . For the price of this it's a great starter vape and a great vape for everyday users like myself . And with 2 batteries that explains why the great battery life . I hope they will make something just like this with adjustable temps . that will be awesome as heck. At this price and how good this vape is I recommend for everyone and this would make awesome gifts for friends and family.

So now that I have found the official thread for this unit here are my thoughts. I picked up 2 of these and I am really liking it. This has become one of 2 of my goto daily vapes now. I just wanted to back from a bit Achieve vacation and I used the VS3 everyday on the beach and it was awesome. I can fit this in Palm of my hand and conceal it easily while taking a put and like I mentioned before this thing is a cloud machine! I picked up 2 of these for under 100 dollars too!

Thank you for the size comparisson!

Since you have the three models i´m undecided about, how do they compare in vapour wise parameters? best vapour taste?

Will any of these 3 competes with an Arizer Air, taste wise?

Comming from a Flowermate V, i wanna get a new vape, but still undecided. Would be nice to get a water tool for the VS3.

Out of all the vapes I own all except the x-max2 pro have good taste. The ecapple iv-1 comes with a bubbler . I think you could get any glassblower to make something for the vs3 easy . If you just want great taste the vs3 is the best its all glass pathway . If you want to be able to adjust the temps the iv-1 is very hard to beat price quality wise. I have 2 vs3 and I have extra items batteries bubblers mouth pieces for the iv-1 because I really love both and use both . The vs3 price is crazy low considering what a good vape it really is . Either one is a great buy just depends what your looking for . Hope this helped .
