Time for a new flower vape, but unaware of all the new stuff

So last time I bought a flower vape was the mflb, which i used for a long time. Then I got an omicron for concentrates, and I'm starting to get tired of obtaining concentrates and maintaining that pen. So I'm looking for a flower vape that hits great, and I know ya'll are probably tired of hearing this because every vape "smells" but I'm looking for something that smells less then most vapes. Yes all vapes smell, but when I compare the MFLB to the Pax, the MFLB definitely is stealthier. So yeah Hits great and smells little. Got some money to spend so cost is not a problem. Thanks

Honestly, of the 10 vapes I've used so far, I found my Indica Noir vape to be the least smelly vape I own when the vape is off. The Flip lid covers the mouthpiece which is the smelliest part of the whole vape (note the MP can be removed and soaked in ISO to clean when it get's very smelly)

Though I suggest you only buy an Indica from an authorized vendor, they had some issues with oven heater reliability, and you want to ensure you have a warranty in case you need it! (They have revised the heater design, new batch should be shipping soon)

Typically, if it hits great, it's gonna smell and visa versa. It's kinda like asking for a car to go 200mph while at the same time getting 40 miles to the gallon while you're going at that speed..

The vape that produces the least amount of visible vapor will smell the least while the vaporizer that can produce dense vapor clouds will smell the most. Also, vaporizers that either work mainly in the convection domain and/or has the ability to instantly apply and remove the heat will smell the least versus a vaporizer that has a lot of conduction going on that applies heat to your herb when you are not hitting it.

I would look into the Haze, solid vape, pretty easy to maintain/keep clean and can handle dry, concentrates, oils, etc.

Solid time to figure out a new vape #sales

Your right about big hits making more smell. I guess i'm just looking for something that gives consistent quality hits, don't have to be huge... But i dont want to constantly wondering if its hitting or not

While I love to produce huge vapor clouds, it needs to be stated that you can also get very high without hardly seeing any of them..

So the best way to judge if you are getting a good hit is not from the visible vapor produced but rather the affects that you feel 10 minutes after you take your first hit.

 SOOOOO True. I cloud-chase like a fool with my E-Nano.

But my low-power portable vapes get me WAY more medicated with less herbs because I'm taking more small hits blowing almost no clouds.

My MV blew me away in this regard. I have never had a vaporizer get me this high with so little visible vapor produced. That's not to say that I can't get my MV to produce clouds, but man, at the lower temp settings, I can get absolutely blitzed without seeing anything.

With that said though, there's just something really satisfying in seeing those clouds. It's like a visual confirmation, even if it's not needed.

Lifeis good,
I highly recommend the miniVAP. A little pricey but well worth it IMO.

like lwien, I get super medicated with little/no visible vapor. But that's my goal as visible vapor (to me)
means less herb efficiency / you are wasting herb. With big clouds your lungs cannot absorb all of that.
If I had unlimited supply I'd probably blow clouds for grins but I'm the opposite as I have a very meager stash which has to last a loooong time so I need efficiency.

miniVAP efficiency is just the bonus though as supreme taste is the big draw (pun intended).
I know I've never had a vape beat the miniVAP for taste and those that even come close on taste are rare.

I saw the Air on Massdrop yesterday; IME the solo is pretty stealthy even when you're pushing some fair sized clouds out. Though that's just compared to the PnP, Pax, and iMag, which are some often quite pervasive smelling units.

So it sounds like you are looking for a portable? I just recently ordered an Enano.

What about the Arizer Air? It's a nice portable, it's smells the least of my other portables except for my Indica. It has nice flavor and very easy to use and clean. It is also quite stealth. There are several different stems and accessories you can use with it.

You probably could find an Air for under $200, there will be sales on 4/20. Check out Puffitup - Randy will set you up.

Is there any reason you recommend the Air over the Indica?

The Air is more stealth than the Indica. In looks it resembles a large ecig. You could tell people, it's an ecigar. The Indica looks like you are sucking on a large Zippo lighter. It's all in what you are looking for. The Indica is well made and has good flavor and I really like mine. The company works with its customers. FC had severeral members that were beta testers early on.

You are concerned with the smell so I assume stealth is an issue but I guess not necessarily. You may live in a dorm or an apartment. So either vaporizers. Those are newer. Both of the units I mentioned can be used and plugged in at the same time.

I like the Solo but it's an older model. You were wondering about newer vapes on the market.

You could vape some mint along with your cannabis. I've never personally done that but others have.

Carol summed it up pretty well.

The Indica fit's in my hands very well (The only part sticking out of my hands is the lid, it's actually smaller than I expected). Performance wise it isn't best. But smell wise, it's the best of what I've used.

The Air is an evolution of the Solo, it uses some tried and tested reliable parts (Despite the fact it's a "new" vape). It's not the best vape around, but I think it's safe to say the Air is a better performing vaporizer than the Indica.

(My Indica suggestion was based on the smell factor requirement). Performance wise, there are a bunch of better vapes for the price.

But I like it!
The Inhalater 05 comes with a cap which covers the business end when it's not in use, so there isn't a smell issue with that. But it does get a bit loose over time with use. I haven't lost one yet, knock on wood...

killick,
Thanks for all the recommendations. I really like the MFLB style vapes that hit as you go... no waiting for it to heat up. Is the Haze or the Indica like this(or any other good ones?)

edit: also I've heard the firefly and the V2 pro don't let off much of an odor... how are those?

Very few vapes have instant heatup times. The Grasshopper might be perfect for nearly instant stealth hits, but production delays have held up the product for months now. We're hoping they start shipping this month, but only 1 member of this community has actually used a Grasshopper so far.

Hopefully 6 months from now it will be the best stealth vape on the market, but only time will tell

The Elevape Smart Vape is also a good vape for fast hits, but requires stirring, though I can't comment on odor.

The Haze and the Indica take around a minute to preheat. They are conduction vaporizers which require a fair amount of time to heat up (and require a hit or two after the unit is off to completely stop the vaping process and eliminate any odor).

The Firefly might be useful in the smell and instant hit department, but it's heavy as hell (bigger than I thought), and the battery life is short (though I heard something about a new bigger battery?)

If you're interested in Butane vapes, there are a bunch of options out there for FAST heatup times. The Lotus, Vapman, and Lilly all come to mind. My Lotus can clear an entire session in under 30 seconds from loading, to heating/vaping, to emptying the ABV - the only catch is that it isn't stealth - holding a cigar torch over a hot plate and sucking from a pipe isn't the most discrete action in the world

The elevape is amazing in every way and super stealthy my favorite by far and I've owned 10+ flower portables

Low smell. Very easy on the flowers draw as you go with temp control!! Only draw on demand with temp control my ff doesn't even have that. Amazing flavor and very discreet form factor it also packs a surprising punch. I'll bee selling off my ff indica noir and airizer. Soon because the esv has ticked every box for me and i love it as much as the day it arrived 2 months later. Also despite belief maintaining it is fairly easy
