ThrowAway glass bong ???

Hello to all, you are gonna find this rather weird, but when friends come over, I don't like to share my bubbler. What I like to do is use a new bubbler, with all the laughs, and puffs and shit people do to it while they are around, and then throw it away when they are gone.

I usually buy 10 bubblers at a time. Cheap ones like this one :

they are small, I use the xmax v2 pro vape with them and don't bother cleaning them. They cost 5 euros a piece. So for 4 friends, that's acceptable.

Do you happen to find or know something that is cheaper than this ? I still need an all glass pathway.

You can get the FC-UFO bubbler for 35$ or so from DHGATE.com and it comes with the equipment for hookah style bong vaporizing. Buy a separate whip mouthpiece, buy reusable or disposable hookah mouthpiece tips, and stop making yourself crazy over all those poor bubblers! Ill take them! Lol.

@iLoveVape25: Try to control your irrational thought process (with regards to how dirty your friends are), and think of the environment - please CLEAN your glass after use, do not throw it away & buy new!

And besides, what makes you think that new glass from a factory that has been handled by multiple unknown people & exposed to numerous processes, is any cleaner than a freshly washed piece on your drainer?

I know that I ALWAYS wash my new glass before I use it, as I would hope you do too. So why not wash it after use?

Do you have a sink & a hot tap?

Unless you can provide a real reason for why you would not clean your glass like everybody else, from my pov, it just seems plain lazy, disrespectful, and damaging to the environment

These other options all have plastic in them and are bigger and cumbersom to transport. This is just the best thing I found.

Because all glass can be cleaned, it just requires a little thought, technique, and maybe just a teeny weeny bit of effort.

Come on man, there's really no excuse for your blatant disregard of the Earth and it's resources - and imo, you are just feeding your own neurosis by continuing down this path.

Check out the various glass cleaning threads here on FC, invest a little time, and you will likely get pleasure from seeing your glass go from gunky black to clear & sparkling in very little time - and it really isn't that difficult to do.
Plus, you'll know that you are doing your bit to help, and put less strain on our environment.

For the OP how about washing it for your friends and buying something nicer for yourself? Sounds like they don't care. But I agree it is acceptable cost and effort wise to just dispose of it if you like. I don't think you will find much cheaper though.

Pbw and iso are both really cheap, and like @VegNVape says, you glass will come out sparkly....

I get the whole thing about sharing, I'm the same..... luckily it's very rare that I have to share, but if I do, I'll let them use my d020d, and clean it after.....

Are you at least recycling your old bubblers....????

Hi @iLoveVape25, my recommendation would be to grab a second piece for friends to use and just clean it each time.

The MFLB UFO is $30 (apprx) and can turn a normal drinking glass into a bubbler. It cleans down with a wipe and the glass can go into the dishwasher.

Alternatively the MFLB Bottle Rocket is another great option around the same price. Easy enough to clean and the bottle can be washed or recycled.

OP should just buy a separate piece for their friends to use and invest in some PBW. It's not hard, buying cartons of glass isn't really that atrocious an act, but it is pretty short sighted

I do not get the logic of not being willing to clean your glass if the main attribute you are looking for is saving money (by asking for even cheaper glass). In the long run it will be cheaper to clean those 10 pieces at once when they are dirty than buying a new lot.

Borosilicate Glass used in laboratories and our glass pieces is not typically found else where in the house unless you have old "PYREX" or "Corning ware". It cannot be recycled with regular glass like wine or beer bottles as it will ruin the entire melt pot. You would have to take it to a specialty place to have it recycled. The whole reason we have boro glass is because it's strong and will last a long time. A glass piece should last you a lifetime if made well.

The analogy is more about the process than the product. I'm sure you're right that batteries probably are worse, It's not like the 18650 are one time use disposable batteries though, they will get hundreds of cycles.

We all will continue to throw stuff away, but getting away from single use disposables is the best thing anyone can do to keep trash from ending up in someone else's backyard.

My father washed his used wine glass bottles to re-use them, have friends whom do the same for home brewed biere, that was the meaning of my similitude (rather than recycling through melting-remodeling like nowadays)

Wow, guys, so much opinions in this thread.

What concerns me the most is the water that gets trapped inside the bubbler. It is a potential garden for bacteria and other nasty stuff. There is no way for me of opening the bubbler, so that water gets stuck in there for days, even under the sun.

I will clean the bubbler sometimes of course at first, but some of my friends like to smoke and not vape, so the glass gets disgusting after a while. For 3 euros, I will throw it away instead of wasting a lot of water getting it cleaned.

Also, when I go out with friends, the bubbler is portable, so it goes into a bag and no worries for it getting smashed since it's not expensive.

Buy a cheap Chinese tube for your mates to take advantage of. Make them clean it before & after use or plant one on their chin for their troubles. It don't need to be complicated & a tube is as simple as it gets.
