need I say more?Purple-Days said:All tests preformed on the same unit in the order listed.
Test #1 caused surface damage that could be sanded away
and re-waxed.
Test #2 caused considerable permanent surface damage, but
no cracks.
Test #3 caused more dents and a few grins.
Test #4 tested the hardwood and leather bottom and left a few
marks, but no cracking.
Test #5 NEVER do this to an electrical appliance! I shook it
out and let it sit about 5 minutes upside down, then plugged it
in. In a short while it started to sizzle and pop as the water in
the heat exchanger boiled away. Exciting. Working fine.
Not a loose connection. Water and shock and heat are enemies of LEDs.
Test #7 That night the unit went in the freezer and was certainly damp in the lower electronics
section. The LED did not light in the morning. I think ice crystals finally killed it. But, the unit still
makes fine vapor and I use it daily.
Tested beyond reasonable expectations. If a unit ever fails we want to know about it.
Please don't try these tests on your unit, we did it so you don't have to.
NEVER use an electrical device near water , or plug in a damp appliance!
