Hmmm, trying to remember some of the older (showing my age) vinyl trippy stuff. A fellow playing flute in the Taj Mahal, you could hear fireworks in the distance and a buzzing insect. Something like an 18 second natural echo in the main room of the Taj.And this dude playing pretty ethereal stuff. Just looked him up, forgot his name, Paul Horn (1968) . Long time since I heard it.
Court of the Crimson King (King Crimson) may be my other favorite dark room music. Very load of course. Those first faint notes before the blast of 21st Century Schizoid Man still give me chills. Maximum anticipation. The rest of the alum is brilliant.
Firesign Theatre, 'Two Places At Once' still makes me grin pretty wide when I'm vaped pretty good. "If you lived here, you'de be home by now. Antelope freeway 1/16th mile...", "With red, yellow, and blue oxygen level danger indicator.", "No, that's Agness Morehead..."
Zappa & Hendix & Janis & Doors & Led & Creedance & CSN&Y & lots of those. Deep Purle and Grand Funk Railroad. (Too bad there are no musicians anymore ...) I get into some classical like Vivaldi & Mozart too. Jazz too.
Bit of a funny side story, I had a 1966 Volkswagen with an 8-Track and like a joke it had Niel Young's 'Harvest' stuck in it, several months, I had no money to replace it and WTF it was tunes. You gotta love music to listen to one album that many times...
