t1 is my favorite vaporizer :)
No hoses or screens to be changed, easy to clean :)

Battery life is short, so it is no party vape or social vape.
But it does the job perfect for one person ;)

I pack the bowl real tight, and i use teh long mothpiece, 10-20 sec. heat up time and it is good to go.
One bowl gives me 4-5 hits, and the herb is preaty much spent.
I "stir" between every hit by dumping the bowl in to the cap, shake it a bit and then dump it back in to the bowl :)

I foun out it was the switch that was the problem, so i took the switch from the atomizer adapter.
There is no more nasty smell coming from the unit so now i am very happy with it.
The best portable vape i have tested last couple months :p

Not so fan of this thing anymore, after the initial "ooooo strawberry smoke" feeling was gone i started to feel on the effects this vaping chemicals has on my body, and i could feel a diference, my lungs started to feel shitty again. So it is probably better than smoking, but i went bact to using snus.

And i am realy disapointed in tha battery life, i can get 2 sessions out of one sett off batteries, witch i think is a bit disapointing, i do not get near the 400 dravs thats for sure.
And the unit gets way to hot after just 5-6 draws.

I dont use this anymore.

I am also very concerned about both the known and unknown effects of inhaling propylene glycol every day. Probly gonna stop using mine soon as long term inhalation of this stuff will almost surely have some unforseen and detrimental effects.

I'm on the same boat as you guys...lately vaping in general has been rough on my chest. I don't know how much more damage vaping e-cig juice is doing to my lungs, but I might need to find a better solution.

I have a question for the owners of both, the Revolution and the TV1.
The website states that new Revolutions have a brief break in period when the coil is oxidizing, after the period the flavor is consistent, and outstanding, find out how good your herbal concentrate really tastes!
I own one and it took a while before I could taste the herbal concentrates, the initial taste was not pleasant at all, I want to get the herbal adapter but don't want to go thru this ordeal again, so my question is this:
does the TV1 has the break in period too? before the herb taste like herb not something else.
Don't the Revolution and TV1 share similar heating materials (ceramic), what causes the initial taste
on the Revolution?

Thanks for that information. We've heard now, I think, about several switch failures. In some cases being masked by owners thinking their cores have failed (when I asked TV the other day there had been like four partial failures of cores and not a single total failure out of several thousand units now in service).

This seems like good news on one hand for those worried about heater core lifespan but shifts the focus to the switch, seems to me. Did you send the dead switch in for analysis?

I never found such a taste issue with my Revolution. Then again I didn't run it wide open before the concentrate was melted in well and therefore vapor started 'right away' when I went to hit it.

In the same vein, I did run the heater in my T1 dry but found no ill effect from that. Since they all get run a couple of times in the assembly, test, inspection and packaging phases and there's no material to trap any smells in the core any taste that might happen leaves right away?

My guess about what causes the issue with some guys and Revolution is a combination of higher than normal temperatures when dry and the nature of the ceramic in the body (it's designed to absorb, remember).

Thanks OF,
one more question if you don't mind.
The ceramic on my Revolution doesn't glow anymore but hits good, does that happened to your Revolution too? I asked the folks at Thermo Vape and they said the oxidation had taken place and that's when I could taste the true flavor.

Yup, at one point very early on I saw part of the glow off center at that. Then noting. Although the surface eventually gets lighter in color with serious cleaning, it's only 'the tips' of the structure. I brought this up with 'the guys' and their idea was it was a stain, which I agree with. Doesn't seem to have changed performance, works great.

Not sure what to say about the taste and "oxidation" since I've never experienced it. Aside from possible (IMO) minor oils and the like on the wire (from fingers in assembly) I don't understand what's oxidizing here I guess. Ceramic is born in fire, the alloy of the metal in the coil is pretty stable to start with and what few oxides form are in a layer a few molecules deep on the surface in places. Nothing evaporates off the element. The 'hot bathroom heater' smell folks generally think of, I think, is dust and other debris burning off each time it's fired up. I can't see more than a tiny bit of such stuff here. As I said, maybe I just never got it all that hot dry? You'd think with guys running it and watching it glow before first loading it we'd start out at a common point. Then again, this is a subjective measure.....it's pretty hard to calibrate everyone's taste.....

My T1 arrived in the mail an hour or two ago. So far I'm really pleased with it. And thanks for the free extended mouthpiece TV!

Has any one tried this with mouth pice cap. Not puting it on tight keep little bit of movement. So herbs will move around more if shank it. Now i feel i get more rich vapor and the thing seem to heat up faster must allow me to drag more hot air over the weed to in the chamber as this give it more space. So I wonder if this slacking off the mouth pice cap help this vape better for everyone.

I do pretty much the same thing by not filling it completely up. While I sometimes loosen the cap to give more room while I shake it, I always snug it down before heating.

its when i unlosen the mouthpiece just a bit when hit and i feel thicker vapor

Funny world, one time I forgot to tighten the cap back up and I noticed the hit seemed light?? Gotta wonder why we had two such different experiences.....

As to the sound, it well could be water boiling out of not properly cured bud. At one point I tried to quantify the water in cured bud but found it varied quite a bit but I decided it was on the part with THC, a dozen percent or so of the weight. More than that is going to slow things down (did you notice that) and kind of 'steam' the load at first (easy to spot, really).

Anyway, if it is slower to start vaping and after the first try the load seems moist and fresh still I'll bet that's your problem. It should eventually vape, of course.

This only applies to people using e-cigs in the thing right? Not people throwing plain on cannabis in the TV1 right :uhoh: WTF lol.

Yes, PG is an issue for the e-cig guys. Including the ones limping along with concentrates mixed in. VG is considered by many to be a better alternative, in fact some people seem allergic to PG as I understand it.

It's not an issue at all for those of us vaping bud in our T1s or pure concentrates in our Revolutions (or Omicrons for that matter....). Not to worry.

I have to say the more I use this thing, the more I love it! I have not touched any of my other vapes for 3 days now, and am quite smitten with it. I have been using a 10 second heat up time and a very slow draw slowly increasing until I feel the temperature come up. I also put my tongue up while inhaling to better feel the temperature rise.

I ordered some of the 1200 mah CR123a batteries with a 4 slot charger the other day and they should be here soon, I will post after a few runs to let you all know how they work, cross your fingers!

Man, this thing hits like one of those big, strong superhero guys (I would mention a character, but don't want infringement rights problems).

Have a happy vapor day!

I was reading through some other portable threads the other day, looks like stonemonkey finally purchased a vaporizer, he went with a Vapman and really seems to like it. He did pass along a thanks to everyone whom gave him advice and input, just thought I would let those of you that offered him advice know, it looks as though he will be spending more time on the Vapman thread. :peace:

You might want to use serious caution with those batteries. They are NOT recommended. If you check back you'll note that only the specific make and model shipped by the factory is. The demands on batteries are excessive in this machine (15 Watts each), far past most. In general, higher capacity batteries sacrifice the very sort of feature we're looking for (high current) to get there (just like in car batteries trading Ah rating against Cold Cranking Current). These units were sure to have been evaluated and rejected by TV.

Perhaps more important you've heard about the chap that had his e-cig blow up on him and knock some teeth out? It was on just such a 'stacked battery' rig with inadequately protected cells. As I understand the problem when one cell discharges completely it can be 'reversed charged' by the remaining one in such high current situations with enough energy to boil the dead cell inside....making a bomb or rocket depending on what gives first.

Your call, of course, but I 'wouldn't go there'. FWIW, I'm not sure crossing fingers will be all that good a protection??

Correct, nothing to do with the t1. It's the propylene glycol based juice that some people vaporize with their ecigs that he's talking about. And it's true - there are unknowns about long term use at this point. Bets are on that it ends up being healthier than smoking still! I personally vape 100% vegetable glycerol (VG) juice, so no PG for me.

Still using my t1 anywhere and everywhere. I love it. So much :D
With most strains (properly dried) loading 1/2 to 3/4 full seems to work great. However, Im currently vaping what seems to be quite a resilient variety. What I mean by that is it won't seem to get past a golden brown when loaded normally. I have found loading a full bowl seems to restrict airflow enough to allow me to finish it to my standards. Anyone else came across anything like this?

Thank you OF, I should have mentioned these were LiFepO4 cells, so they are a protected cell. I appreciate your concern, these are advertised as high C rate discharge capability, and should be able to perform. I originally posted that I would not search out new batteries, and I am sure these that came with the unit are top of the line, but I am a trained electrical tech and will definitely monitor voltage and temperature of the batteries while testing.
You could very well be correct about the amps versus cold cranking amps comparison with these batteries too, but I love to experiment, and this could be fun.
I saw the article on the exploding e-cig a couple of weeks ago, and I also vape pg based nicotene, but I did research before purchasing my batteries to make sure the were a protected cell before I purchased them, I am kind of obsessive about research before purchasing anything, kind of why I read this entire thread before buying my T1.
Happy vaping to you my friend, I really do appreciate your concern.
