Does anybody know how the air path is on this thing? I know the heating element is ceramic, but is the air path in any way in contact with the batteries?
This has been covered pretty well if you look back a couple pages but no, the air intake is isolated from the lower part of the vape where the batteries are housedMathair Naduir said:Does anybody know how the air path is on this thing? Are there any long or short term plans to either make changes to the heater or the batteries to improve this substantially?
Understood, while it would be nice and all, it's that exactly what happens with the wildly popular MFLB? You get a trench from a fresh battery, maybe two if you push it? Guys do just fine with a couple trenches of ground bud and a couple of charged batteries. I'm betting same thing here.
I wouldn't hold my breath for great leaps in capacity in that format. The maker has done his homework IMO. He hammers that battery pack hard, so hard it can only make it to the end of the race. Anything bigger and heavier would be bigger and heavier. And the heater couldn't be made any smaller without performance cuts.
One last thought about Solo and other unit's you can't just swap new batteries into and keep going.....

My main concern is vapor quality and ease of cleaning.
Anyone can tell me more about cleanability and vapor strengh?
rufrothy said:Always trade offs The solo is an amazing device. you can medicate for hours on the same set of batteries unlike the TV but as most of us know you cant just press the button and get a pull. it needs to warm up about 2 minutes.
What someone wants is up to them. The omicron right now is the ultimate for me. runs for days on 1 load and 1 charge. Seem like the flower version is going to suck more juice and you end up with the TV. I am very interesrted to see if the revolution can compete with the omicron.
I am very interested to see how this unfolds. Portable vaporization has finally got some really strong designs and this is a big benefit for the consumer. Lots of different options that suit different applications
I too would love to see some actual videos of usage. We all know the mega clouds the solo can produce I wanna see some from the TV.
OF said:Well we're sure together on most of this, I think on all the important points you made. I too have been amusing myself with the Omicron. And a pair of the Atmos units which I think are basically the original units Omicron sold (each having some advantages IMO). As I use them (perhaps less than you) they do many weeks on a gram and need charging once a week or so. I too was attracted to the Revolution (not so much the TV) from the Omicron experience.
I too see exciting times as free market forces come into play and the profit motive (however evil that is...) motivates good men with good ideas to try them out to all our benefit. We don't have to live with just the volcano as a different model might lead to.
We differ on the solo. I've no need (nor desire) for 'huge clouds' as I'm not really a recreational user. Nor do I really favor glass and other frail stuff when there are tougher materials out there that are suitable. Nor am I a big fan of internal batteries that must be charged in place and will no doubt get weaker over time as they all do. I'll leave that machine to those it fits better.....as it should be. This also means that even if I put a lot of stock in videos on the web (for education, for amusement many have a lot to recommend them.....) videos of guys I don't know blowing vapor all over aren't that interesting. Maybe we need more cute testers in skimpy outfits?
Hey, gotta get breakfast together. My TV is coming today, I think I'll need my strength.....

Foster said:1. My biggest worry: Do you have any problems with your herb falling past that screen whose holes look quite big to me? (Not mouthpiece screen, the one right on top of the heating element that glows orange).
2. Has anyone tried slapping some tubing on their TV and filtering it through water yet?
3. Anyone found a cap sort of thing to put on the end of the mouthpiece to reduce smell yet? (saw this mentioned earlier in thread, then all talk of it ceased).

Clouds are an issue for many of us because of time. Different needs for different applications. Many of us medical users dont like having to wait 10 minutes of sucking on an MFLB to get properly medicated where as 2 good pulls off the solo or 8-12 hits off the omicron acheive the same effect. Time is a big factor in portable vaporization as is battery life. The solo has long battery life, huge rips, and reasonable heat up time. The MFLB is very stealthy but compromises on everything else IMO. The TV seems to focus on quick heat up time, short battery life, supposedly huge rips.
No one is trying to convince you to buy a solo but for a lot of us reading at home that is the benchmark at the moment to compare to. We saw from the vapor blunt thread that it really was not in the same league as the Solo. The TV seems to be a very well designed unit and I sit patiently waiting for videos and some more direct comparison to the Solo.
Very excited to hear your thoughts on your TV later today.

Also please finish the story of the puppy in a cage - there needs to be a conclusion! Maybe a picture of it frolicking on the lawn

Hey, fair's fair, right? If I don't get mine with today's mail, how about you hold off opening yours?
