Thank you, you calm, rational gentlemen both (at least for this purpose and at this time hahaha)... I went ahead and 1st domed, then inverted a fine mesh SS screen up into that indented area jambandphan03 referred to. works like a charm w/no detectable additional "flavoring" (not that I'm any kind of a bloodhound, far from it! I can't even smell 1/3 of the year due to allergies). Using it w/the new PA works so freakin' well that it looks to be my new bedtime protocol!

PB88123 - when I saw the release i though the same as you, that surely that had sorted it all out I mean if anything they'd be accused of over-engineering before under-engineering, perhaps they let Vrip take the lead or have final edit/approval due to their experience w/glass....just a thought

whoever is responsible for the simple and flawless O-ring based mount is a flippin' genius.... Loving this glass mouthpiece now!

So I am patiently awaiting my T1 in the mail and I am already thinking about accessories. I was looking at the revolution converter kit and was wondering what the difference is between the window one and the dart. Can you use hash in them? wax? Which is better and why? Any advice is appreciated. I can't wait.

hash (bubble) or some kind of melt will work better with the rev than the dart. But your going to have to stir with the window it's easier. And when I say better I don't use hash so I don't know just from what I've heard. The dart is great for wax but you'll notice the concentrate will wick up the dart halfway. No big deal just a note. The rev is also great for wax. But for some reason I just love my darts. I use abv oil in one dart, one blonde waxes/oil, one for darker waxes/oil.

Yes, they're basically the same. As KC correctly points out 'lower grades' of concentrates (ones that don't melt and completely evaporate off a bit of foil when heated by a lighter) will need to be stirred as you go since they won't melt into the ceramic and 'self feed' like oils and waxes do.

To save opening it, and the poorer access from the top, the window is a nice feature if you're doing lots of bubble, solid hash, kief and so on. It has to actually contact the floor for conduction vaping. Otherwise the DART is a better option as it's easier to load and the stuff that migrates up will condense and drain back down the tip onto the heater again for another go.

If you already have a T1, stick with the SV version as it uses the same batteries. LV will give a few more hits per charge, but you'll need new batteries and a different charger for them.

Either is a great product, as is the T1. You're going to love it for sure.

Best wishes.

Hey everyone, I hope those of you who took advantage of it enjoyed the Fab.com sale.

About the All-Glass accessories, we knew the pieces would have some parts getting sucked through when they were new. However once you get some build-up on it you will notice the "scooby snacks" will stop going through, otherwise if you don't want to wait just throw a SS screen in and you wont have to worry about any more snacks coming through.

And hey, if you have an idea or blow glass yourself and know of a different way to make a "screen" of sorts please let us know. We are always trying to improve upon our products and all of your opinions are what matter most to us!

Cheers,

Tim

Okay, I am surprised that I am the first person to mention this, but, the glass mouthpiece is a huuuuge difference. No minor thing. It has substantially different airflow characteristics, and in addition to the stellar taste, I am finding another huge bonus: stirring optional! Yes, really. I am getting as many, if not more hits as are achieved with the Evolution without stirring, ALL of which are of superior quality to that of either the Evo or the T1 with the regular cap. I am talking a solid 8 hits without stirring. And ironically, it is more effective with the chamber packed more tightly rather than loosely, which I originally assumed would be preferable so that the material could naturally knock around in there more freely. But NO! Definitely not. The taste stays amazingly smooth and sweet for a solid 7 or 8 hits. At which point I take the top off once and only the once, and stir it thoroughly, and get another solid 4-6 hits. Truly phenomenal. A better performing "no-stir" device than the Evo for sure! I should mention, THE KEY to success with this method is to use a properly-placed screen in the mouthpiece. I will try to take a photo later and post, but the following is necessary:

The screen should rest right where the "chamber" of the glass begins to taper, and not go any further down than that. The important part is to make sure the herb is smushed into the core so that it is rather packed, which is directly the opposite of my method of packing with the Delrin mouthpiece (which I pack lightly to probably 2/3 -3/4 at most, and which, incidentally, I plan never to use again). The increased density seems to help with the hot air insulation, and the airflow due to the enlarged hole is perfectly sufficient to accommodate the more-tightly packed load. I would seriously recommend this addition to EVERY T1 user out there. It is the most must-have accessory I have seen yet! And that's coming from someone who is head over heels about the new PA! This is a match made in heaven! Thank you for the collaboration Vrip! I am going to give it some tests with the mouthpiece as a GonG adapter and see where gets me now.

:o

Edit: My method of packing now consists of scooping it up directly into the glass chamber, rather than into the core. Packing a larger load than used to fit in the core with the Delrin cap is beneficial, if not necessary for super results. Probably 1.5, if not 1.75 as much as I used to pack in the core. Bigger load = EVEN nicer effects. Very very very pleased. Keep up the small-batch works of hand-blown glassware perfection Vrip! I feel great knowing that I'm supporting CA USA industry!

Whoa now buddy. Don't get me signed up for gratifying your next few evenings. I'll leave that up to the special lady in your life, or the local lady of the evening, as it may be. :D I kid, I kid. I'm glad to be the bearer of good news though. Thanks to Tim and everyone else on the team who helped innovate the glassware.

A small band of silicone tubing around the mouthpiece I find helps immensely with heat dispersion. I noticed the glass has the ability to get quite hot. I recommend this easy fix for anyone else with sensitive lips.

It's in high demand with a limited amount being made at a time. Just keep checking this thread and usually someone will mention when they are back in stock so the people that check this thread will have the best shot at getting one.

I still maintain the glass mouthpiece works fantastic with a large, tightly packed bowl, but it isn't necessary. Just fyi, with a regular ~.1g load, this thing still works super. And when it is not packed so tightly, there is room for the material to move around more uninhibited, so it actually allows for the load to be shaken between hits. Worry not if you see the load fly up towards the screen; you get the added visual light show compliments of the core. It doesn't seem to affect the convection effect negatively. There is plenty o' insulation/heat to spare with this puppy. Not pulsing creates the chance of fairly charred abv.

Most of you say T1 some say evolution for traveling and ease, some say get power pack and I read something about an extended mouth piece to help with the cooling. I will be waiting for you all to come up with the perfect package for me. I like things easy. The easier the better. If you read on the DV thread I bearly clean it so keep that in mind. The path of least resistance is my friend or at least we are trying to make friends

Hey guys, just thought Id share my findings on the TV handle.

Lately I find I have been using my TV handle in 510 mode close to 100% of the time.
So when I started thinking about a second back-up handle I have been searching around to see if a better alternative was out there. What I like about the TV handle is:

Simplicity.
No electronics.
Can be completely cleaned.
Heat dispersion is excellent.
Durability, well designed to go the distance.
Battery sleeve sized to accommodate many voltage options and battery types.
Price is good. $50 base + $20 Delrin adapter. (IMHO, should have an option to buy complete like the REV kit without having to email for adapter, would attract more ecig users)

The only thing I do not like is the grip of the slide switch. (which has been brought up a few times and I have been working on a solution)

So with these characteristics in mind I searched and searched. There are some units out there but are over kill in some regards like "smart" electronics. And priced too high because of this. The units which seem to match the TV are all bottom switchers. Which I am not sure if I could get use to or not. And get pricey very quickly. The cheaper units with horn type switches at first glance seem like a cool alternative. However, seems to get the size of the TV and maintaining a 6 volt option is not there. The ones with the 6 volt option tend to get wider in size. I also do not like the top button types neither. The Bolt was the closest I could find but would need two extender pieces to get 6 volts and then likely a spacer as well. A finish matching problems between the added pieces might also be an issue.
Any other opinions or findings?

At this point IMHO the TV handle seems to be the best unit in our multi format world.

BTW, an update to my thumb rest is promising. Found arranging the magnets is critical as OF stated in earlier discussions. Have made a few practice runs in perfecting it. The "prototype" pieces I am now including in my power supply on ebay as a free gift.
