First impression: appears to be very sturdy, very sleek, well made. Also it comes with a extended mouthpiece which I didn't know
What? I didnt get any longer mouthpiece :/ and i would be happier if you didnt either

Everyone who ordered from us, and everyone who will order from us is going to get a longer mouthpiece (they were not ready when the first unts shipped). If it does not come in your kit, it will be coming to you separately.

Just a little gift from us here at ThermoVape to say thank you for the early support, encouragement, feedback and often lively ;) discussion.

the more I read the more excited I get to buy/try one of these!

My Solo and my HA are my daily go-tos and my Vape Bros w/Hydrator (bubbler) and MFLB (w/the power adater no less) are just collecting duct at this point; might be time to let them go cheap and use the proceeds to buy this beautiful device

I really Love the fact that you (ThermoVapeDoc) just jumped right in here and let the fellas have at you lol!
I may hold out until the "Revolution" is ready; then again maybe not! :D

Thanks :) i was really just messing with Futuretvowner but i will gladly accept this wonderful gift, the heat of the vapor has really not turned out to be a problem at all but with a longer mouthpiece it should still be a bit cooler which is always welcome, i look foreward to giving it a try

However in a convection system, the heating element never touches the plant, it has to heat up the moving air to vaporization temperatures. This requires a lot more power. This is also the reason that there are few (any other then the ThermoVape?) pocket sized convection vaporizers, they usually need to be plugged into a wall or have a monster battery back.

I hope that helps.

To put this a different way: When you run a conduction system you only need to heat the small portion of the load in direct contact with the heater. The majority of the load doesn't get anywhere near that hot. In a conduction scheme you need to uniformly heat the entire load to nearly the magic temperature before the hottest part finally gives vapor (a much larger mass, therefore more energy needed).

TV seems to be a careful balance of a 'just big enough' heater and load and some truly heroic power delivery from a small package to run it, even if only for a very little while.

IMO impressive indeed....but I'm still holding out for the 'package deal' (not that it's a price advantage, but the idea of a 'switch hitting vape' seems right some how.

OF

I am certain that OF's second 'conduction' in that post was intended to be a 'convection' with that in mind, OF is spot on, in his more elegant (than my) description of convection vaporization.

It does require a lot of power... But we love it. Appreciate the props OF, I have your kit (sans the Revolution) waiting for you, sitting on a shelf, all alone, waiting for you....

Just received my TV and tested a bowl with 0.07 g uk cheese. AND I AM VERY IMPRESSED!!!! The cloud/flavor is similar to my Silver Surfer Vape!!! I usually have to take a few hits to feel anything off my other vapes (MFLB, wispr, solo), but I'm nicely medicated after only one hit off the TV :) So far i have no problem with the top screen holes, no small pot particles fly into my mouth. I'm already in love with it

Busted. Exactly wrong (seems to happen more often as I get older, wonder if it's related...). Thanks for the kind words, glad to help understanding if I can.

For sure it's a hot rod, which is in it's own way exciting and kind of 'the American way' in some respects.

As to having my future machine sitting waiting....you're an evil, evil man. No two ways around it. Just how am I supposed to stop thinking about it?

Well you guys are the most critical resource we have at our disposal. We pride ourselves (Thermo-Essence Technologies, makers of the ThermoVape) in our ability to go from innovation to production faster then anyone else, because we do all of our R&D , prototyping, manufacturing, ad distribution under one roof. so if we decide we want a longer mouthpiece as an option, we'll design it, test it, refine the design, have our group of medical users beta test it, incorporate their feedback and build the product. With a simple part like the mouthpiece, we have done that in 72 hours.

So if this is the type of company we want to be, our most valuable resource is feedback and discussions with the die hard, expert users, the early adopters, and the highly critical (mainly because they have been sold a lot of devices that probably fell short of expectation or the cost/performance ratio was off).

This is the ultimate arena for us in that respect. Your feedback matters, we will build new products based on your feedback (glass adapter, in the works).

It is the great exchange, if we want to build you the best product we possible can, we better be checking in with you guys and having you tell us what it is going to take to make that happen.

We really do appreciate it, thank you.

Well regarding your machine, it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't all packaged up perfect, packed with an extra mouthpiece inside all ready to go, batteries charged....

We are mean, we won't even let it hang out with the other ThermoVapes in the Shop, it has to be alone, all alone, until you order it. It's a little sad... Chokes me up a bit.

NA, NA, NA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!!

Now I've got to worry 'bout being party to vape abuse..... at least you charged it's batteries before you sealed in that little dark box.

Hey, I'm local, maybe I can come by and see it?

I too and very (very) interested to hear (and see) a side-by-side w/ a Solo as that is my current darling but it has it's limitations (especially as regards to true portability) :)

(Yikes, sorry Mods about the double-post, i was referring to different quotes and don't know how to quote 2 different post in my single post)

Lol, obviosly i can't speak for the revolution but after a good week of solid use of the standard TV i have no problem helping to push you towards that ledge, the simple but solid/elegant design coupled with the vapor production and pure taste (not quite as good as glass for me but better than any other portable that i have tried) make this unit a pretty solid buy imo and with a really solid sounding concentrate adapter and a GonG mouthpiece coming the future looks bright,

Can you give head to head comparisons (pros/cons) between the TV and the Solo?

TV vs solo:
Faster warm up (5 sec vs almost 2-3 minutes)
Much more portable (The solo too bulky and heavy to be a portable vape, it's more like a office desktop vape)
More stealth ( I can take a hit, and put it right back into my pocket :ninja:, vs having to shut off the solo holding 2 buttons, and having to finish the whole stem before you careful put away the HOT glass stem, try doing this in the public :p)
Better taste!!!(I don't like the taste on the solo despite its glass stem and ceramic bowl, I can truly taste the honey sweet cannabis taste with the TV, the taste is simular to DBV and SSV; both has a distinct sweet taste/smell to its vapor)

only advantage the solo has over the TV is temperature control, on the TV temperature is control by draw speed and how long you turn it on, much like a Convection Magic Flight Launch Box, I'm sure with developed technique, digital temp control isn't necessary.

Thanks for the comparison btwn the two. Can you chime in on cloud size and efficiency comparison. Not including warm up time, which will medicate you quicker?

I get much more medicated off my TV, I have to finish the whole stem (6-8 hits) on my solo in order to feel anything; 1 or 2 TV hits= 6 to 8 solo hits i would say. I don't think the solo is a true convection vape, there's alot of conduction going on. They both can produce thick cloud, but like I have mentioned the TV taste alot better, which is what I'm after.

Stay strong, C2V! We can make it through this together, if we just stay strong.

And consider that TV and SFG might well be the same person......ever see both of them in the same room at the same time? Me either. What's more, I don't think I know anyone that has. Do you? That alone might be suspicious.

Just tried adopting the 'micro hit' technique on the TV, and I am able to get some HEAVY CLOUDS!!

"What is the 'micro-hitting' or 'micro-toking' technique?
Micro-hitting is taking a series of quick short puffs with pauses between them but without exhaling, all on a single battery connection. This method is capable of producing a thicker cloud, which is sought after by many users. Keep in mind that thicker clouds are hotter and harsher, and could cause coughing. - http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magi...hitting.27_or_.27micro-toking.27_technique.3F
