This is upon being ramped up to full ignition. The photo is more clear before it reaches full glow anyhow.

Well that is what my core looks like. Have I been using a partially failed core AND enjoying it?

Thanks for taking the time to post that btw.

Your core is only glowing on one of the two coils? As you can pretty clearly see in my photo above, the coil on the leftish side of the core is VISIBLY grey, and the one on the right is glowing orange, so if you have the problem, not only is it visibly telltale, but also, you would not be producing any visible vapor with just the one coil, as it does not produce enough heat even with fresh batteries. Same symptoms as 3 weeks ago, except this time it is completely inoperable, and 3 weeks ago it was intermittent.

I'll have to take some pics of mine and check it out sometime tomorrow before I jump the gun. Mine DOES produce good vapor so perhaps I'm mistaken.

Holy crap. I got to use a T1 for the first time yesterday, and while the Evo is badass(hell, I haven't used my Launch Box since I got it, and that was my portable daily driver for 3 years), and my Rev/Dart is my true love, the T1 is fucking awesome!!! I love the bigger hits, very much my style. Very cool.

I know what you mean. Different beasts at many levels, yet so alike in others. For some guys it's a toss up, others seem drawn one way or the other, go figure. Only way out of this is to try 'em both....not always a practical solution of course.

What does concern me a bit is some well intended statement like 'Evolution is so much better than T1 nobody should consider T1s any more' is going to deprive the next guy of a potentially better choice?

Thanks very much for your opinions and observations, I hope folks take them to heart, as a user of broad experience they gain value IMO. In the end it's very much about 'my style' isn't it?

I noticed earlier that the smooth flow with the short delrin plastic piece gets a lot hotter than the complimentary long delrin mouthpiece that i put on.

The taste is amazing on this thing, it doesn't distribute the heat as well as i hoped though, it seems i have to stir after the first 2 or so hits to stop it from getting near dark brown - black in places, i find that packing by hand is the easiest braking it into smallish pieces.

having Been a pipe/bong smoker in the past, It seems to have a quite restrictive draw on it, Which can be greatly changed in the way in which you suck, its definitely an art of a technique to work on.

It seems i can only get around 3 - 4 good hits before the taste/experience starts declining rapidly. Also when i usually change the batteries and bowl

When i say hits i mean big hits, i like my nice fat rips, half hearted weak vapor just don't do it for me.

so for the first hit i generally put the heat on for 10 or so seconds before slowly inhaling for another 5 - 10 seconds, till i feel the heat of the vapor, lovely flavors come to play now, i inhale for another 5 seconds, then speed up the draw till the point of needing to stop the inwards breathing and just hold the breathe for another 7 seconds or so ) When i finally exhale, Major pleasant head rush in the summer heat, Brain feels a little oxygen deprived too, which adds to the overall effect :lmao:But overall its worth it to get my clean thc administration.

I have to say ill always come back to using the bag filled method at home - but for on the move, this thing is perfect. The best vape on the planet atm i reckon... Good job TV :) (: Bring on the Pa ( usb adaptor or w/e it is your keeping so hush about ) and the Glass mouthpiece.

Well, new problem. Another new core has experienced a blown coil. This one after just 3 weeks of use. I am starting to be concerned about the consistency of quality workmanship in these devices. Particularly since recommending them to several friends who I know do not have the kind of disposable income to be replacing $55 cores with any regularity... TV has stated that the cores should likely last well beyond the 3 month warranty, but I have yet to have a core in my possession that has lasted more than a month and a half, and indeed I am now in need of my third core, before 3 months has even elapsed since purchasing the unit. I'm a responsible adult who is not putting these devices under any undue kind of stress.
This is very weird that yours keeps burning out..... By any chance are you using a Power Adapter or two 3.7V batteries?

In either case just shoot us an e-mail at sales@thermovape.com and we will send you out a new one.

Love the picture! looks like a nice little case.

Excuse the lengthy replies, we are very busy over here from the sale this weekend. Please excuse us if it takes a few days to get all caught up.

Cheers

Yeah I agree with this. I had one core that didn't work properly and then I was sent another that worked 100x better. I agree that I have a hard time recommending it to friends just because there is a decent amount of $$ that needs to be spent after you use the device for a bit.

$0 maintenance spent on mine so far. 2 dead batteries so ~$6 so far. One battery was DOA (not from TV either) and one has died on its own. They are weaker than when they were brand new, but they get me through a bowl still. It's almost time to order more just like I'd have to with any battery/fuel/lighter based portable. In fact I don't know of a portable that has no operating costs besides the hand crank friction vape, but I'd imagine they stopped selling those for a reason.

I think I've had mine on the longer side since I don't have a serial number on mine. I consider it a collectors item  Better be careful though if I start collecting "rare" vapes I may have to buy back my old Walnut MFLB to let it sit in the collection. I better quit while I'm ahead.

I have noticed i need new batteries too! i worked these ones hard but it takes me 2 sets to get a bowl spent, and it seems to take longer to get em charged, i haven't timed it to be sure but it feels longer.

Interesting. Mine seem to be done charging faster, which to me made sense that they were dying and basically holding less of a charge. Now I have no idea what is going on. I suppose it doesn't matter since I just need to save up next paycheck and be safe and order ~10 batteries. Also I know the day I order a SHITLOAD of these things will be the day before TV announces a better battery or something

Notice the same w/ mine -- the ones with less juice seem to finish charging *quicker* than the others.

Glad to hear. In a related note, it appears that TV will be able to accommodate my request for a custom-ordered 3-coil core (!!) This could get interesting. My stated (and actual) reasons for requesting as such, is two-fold. First of all, it is my assumption, and I hope I am not making an ass out of u and me, is that spreading the load over three coils instead of two just might put less stress on the individual coils, and thus allow them to have prolonged longevity. Secondly, it is my suspicion that a third coil, triangularly-spaced, may also lend an assist in creating an (even) more uniform distribution of heat within the chamber. I have explained that it is my intent to have a core with precisely the same heating power of the current T1 core. If all goes according to the grand design inside my head, it could be swell, no?

Now if you'll excuse me, I must go tend to those voices....
