I don't understand all the vitriol I'm reading; maybe I just have a different perspective, but if I were TET, I'd be reconsidering how much info I pre-released to the public in the future, and whether my desire to keep customers ahead of the loop might be a mistake. Hopefully they aren't as disappointed with the initial response here as I am. At least it's getting better (the response) now that Tim has had a moment to come here and explain things.
Let's see,
(1) TET pre-released a LOT of info about their upcoming line. This allowed people (us) to decide if we wanted to hold off on buying anything from the first gen line so as not to be upset when something "newer and better" came out a month or three later. This doesn't particularly benefit TET; it benefits us. Most people will stop buying until the new stuff comes out. It also allowed the few of us that wanted to order any first gen stuff to get what we wanted before gen 1 became unavailable. (I bought an Ultra/DART, since a mini-cera is not anticipated for at least a year).
(2) The CEO/Owner (Noah), the New Product Development and Marketing Manger (Tim), and one of the Tech Support people all came on-line and not only answered questions, but even at this late date took suggestions and changed minor things to our liking (e.g., Two different safety switches; one that works like an old light switch, but always sticks out from one side or the other, and one that can be removed, and only used when one wants to travel, etc). Conversing with us takes up precious assembly time, but we want it all. We want them on-line holding our hands, making us feel like part of their family, and we want them assembling our stuff and sending it out. It's a small company, not Google.
(3) We demanded (begged?) more and more video's. So TET goes out and buys more video cameras and computers, and Noah, already working 20 hour days, becomes a movie star. One person wants to see 45 second hits. One person wants to see many 5-10 second hits. One person wants to see how much concentrate the new Cera Essential Oil (CEO) can hold and how many hits that translates to. One person want to know how little concentrate the new CEO can hold and how many hits that translates to. So Noah keeps making videos, destroys lots of plates and coffee cups, and vapes more THC than most of us vape in a year. (Well, maybe not that last part). This also takes up precious assembly time, but Noah not only wants to make the best product, he want to make everyone here happy. Would you have preferred Noah saying "We can't make any movies, or take any pro pictures until after we deliver, so no soup for you"?
(4) TET wanted to be able to deliver the new stuff by Christmas. They almost made it. Of course, their roof caved in from the torrential rains, at the worst possible time, and half the messages were pissed off that they didn't immediately come here and tell us all about it. Like it was a responsibility not a courtesy. It sounds like the delay is only going to be a week or two, and while I certainly understand the insanity that comes from waiting for something really really wanted, this is ridiculous. Vaporware (pun intended) is typically months and months late, sometimes years; not a week or two.
Anyway, I wanted to get that off my chest. As far as I'm concerned TET is still a company that cares more than 99.99% of the companies I deal with, and they still make products I have to have.
