They're still waiting on a few key bits (like the tool to mix the epoxy to make tail caps). The momentary cap is still not ready to test, the evaluation units got epoxy into them through a vent that needs to be sealed
I think I can connect the dots as to why noah left TV.
I was really suprised to read that someone decided it was a good idea to put toxic epoxy
in a unit that was designed to be a medical device. I for one am not excited to read the word epoxy!
Noah said from the get go that this vape was going to avoid any toxins and plastics.
I wish things would not have been rushed at the last minute to get them out.
I would have rather have had a functioning on/off switch, proper batteries, and NO EPOXY!
Boy, I can't get over how much I disagree with this. One of us is very very wrong and firing wild accusations around about issues that don't exist and trying to divine stuff into a situation where very few facts are available to him.
Epoxy was a part of the planned product
from the start. It's in all the units I've seen in two places. One is a small dab of
conductive epoxy in the ground strap connection, the other is to support the spring on the end cap. Both are cold and isolated from the vapor path.
Epoxy was part of the Beta unit Noah personally handed me. This is not a new development. That's the
facts of the deal.
Nor do I agree things were at all rushed. In fact, quite the opposite. The release is running later than expected precisely because they didn't compromise on anything along the line in the name of time.
There is no health threat I can see, alarmist opinions to the contrary. And I've looked. Carefully.
I believe the epoxy is to attach the switch harness onto the Cera at the bottom were there is no heat, vapor or air being pass through or by it in anyway that's the only place epoxy would be needed on this whole unit from what I can tell, I might be wrong but that's what I figure anyway.
Nothing to worry about in the sense of toxins being released or ingested in anyway in my opinion.
And MM you'd be exactly right IMO. And unlike many/most I've seen it in person and being made.
Nothing to worry about. TV is honest and not trying to secretly poison anyone I can detect.
